RYDER CUP 2014 A little over 90 years ago 20 men assembled at Gleneagles in the heartland of Scotland for an international challenge match between Great Britain and the United States. Among them were golfing greats such as Harry Vardon, J.HTaylor and Walter Hagen. The 1921 match had no name, no real fanfare and no trophy to play for - but it whetted the appetite and eventually gave rise to the phenomenon of The Ryder Cup, first officially played six years later.
Scotland, the Home of Golf looks forward to welcoming the world in 2014. And you could be there to witness history in the making! After winning five of the last six events will the European side be able to complete the hat-trick? How will Europe’s new captain, Paul McGinley, fare against one of the true giants of the game in Tom Watson? And will the European talisman Ian Poulter be able to reproduce the form that has made him virtually unplayable in the event? With the big event fast-approaching, now is the time to book that once-in-a-lifetime golfing experience to see the world’s most exciting sporting event. We’ve got some fantastic packages available to make your Ryder Cup dreams a reality. All deals include: • Five nights’ hotel accommodation • Breakfast every day • Celebration evening
• Standard Entrance Tickets for Thursday to Sunday • Daily ground transfers to & from Gleneagles • Ryder Cup Gift

Ayrshire is arguably one of the richest areas of Scotland in terms of its golf heritage. Home of the first ever Open Championship – hosted at Prestwick in 1860 – and joined by current venues Troon and Turnberry, this is definitely the ideal destination for the golf aficionado. The town is an ideal base to explore the area - head South to enjoy Leven Links or Elie GC and perhaps Kingsbarns for an extra special treat.
