Apple and Brown Sugar Hand Pies

FOR THE CRUST: 4 cups of all-purpose flour 1 cup of unsalted butter 1 tablespoon of sugar 1 teaspoon of salt 1 large egg 2 tablespoons of milk

FOR THE FILLING: *apple filling* 1 or 2 apples (diced) 1 tablespoon of butter 1 tablespoon of brown sugar 1 teaspoon of cinnamon

*brown sugar filling* 1/3 cup of brown sugar 4 tablespoons of flour 1 teaspoon of cinnamon

DIRECTIONS FOR DOUGH: Whisk together your flour, salt, and sugar then start to combine your butter slowly and mix with your hands, you can cube your butter beforehand to make this step easier. Once that’s combined, add your milk and your egg and mix together until dough is formed. Once dough is formed separate into two balls and wrap them in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 2 hours/for up to 2 days. Let dough come to room temp before rolling and cutting into equal rectangles. Combine your filling ingredients and add to one half of your dough rectangle and cover with another, press sides down with a fork, brush on an egg wash and bake at 350F for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown. Enjoy!
