ABOUT TELL ME THE STORY: THE SERIES Tell Me The Story series began with a simple goal: To give children something they will want to read. This series brings to life the Parshiyot and Chagim by combining breathtakingly vivid illustrations with text that is easy to read and understand, carefully crafted to inspire a child’s imagination. Despite the fact that the TMTS series was originally launched in Israel, a market that has no shortage of children’s reading materials, the series was exceptionally well received and became an instant hit with parents, educators and children of all ages. The series is popular among people of all backgrounds,
including the more secular parts of the population. In fact, a teacher from a well-known secular Kibbutz commended the TMTS group for “finally producing a way to teach children the parsha that will keep their attention. Based on how my students respond to it, it’s become our #1 choice--in the classroom and at home as well”. Not surprisingly, the series, which in addition to Hebrew & English has been translated to Yiddish, French & Spanish, has garnered similar praise on an international level. While the languages may differ, the compliments rarely do, as parents and teachers the world over immediately recognize a sensation when they see it. The result? 5 Volumes on the Parshiyot and 6 volumes on the months of the year. Your child will enjoy hours of entertainment and enjoyment from every part of the TMTS collection. And while you don’t have to let them know, they’ll be reaping the benefits of an amazing educational experience at the same time! The unique writing style and stunning graphics bring the Torah and Jewish months to life in a fascinating, engaging way. ne night as Paroah was sleeping in his bed in the palace he dreamt a very interesting dream. He dreamt that he was standing near a spring and saw seven cows. Seven nice big cows coming up from the water and eating the grass in the fields near the water.

He turned over to the other side and dreamt a second dream. In the dream he saw seven nice bundles of wheat growing. After them grew seven small skinny bundles of wheat. Suddenly the seven skinny bundles ate up the seven big bundles. And again! The skinny bundles stayed skinny! “What are all these weird dreams? Paroah wondered. He called over all his wise men to the palace and told them the story of his dreams. He asked them to explain what the dreams meant. However, the wise men could not understand the dreams and did not know what to say.

Suddenly the Sar Hamashkim remembered that Yosef had solved his dreams when he was in jail. He went to Paroah and said, “My Master, my King! Once when the king had put me in jail, I too dreamt an interesting dream. Together with me was a man named Yosef who was able to explain my dreams to me. He told me that the king will take me out of jail and make me the Sar Hamashkim again and that’s exactly what happened. He also explained the Sar Haofim’s dream to him and was right then too. Maybe Yosef could solve the King’s dreams as well!” So Paroah called to his servants, “Bring Yosef to me now!” Quickly the servants took Yosef out of jail and brought him to Paroah. “Yosef,” Paroah said. “I dreamt two dreams that nobody is able to solve. Maybe you can solve them for me.”

So Yosef listened carefully to Paroah’s dreams and understood what they meant. “Hashem is telling you what is going to happen in the coming years. The seven big cows and the seven big bundles of wheat are a sign of seven good years that will come now. There will be a lot of food in the world but after seven years there will be another seven years like the skinny cows and the small bundles of wheat. There will be a hunger in the world; the grains and the fruits and vegetables will not grow. The people will be so hungry that they will forget that there was ever food to eat.” Yosef then told Paroah that he had advice for him, “Choose a wise man that should collect a lot of food during the good seven years and put it in storage. When there won’t be any food this food will be taken out.” Paroah was very happy that he now understood what his dreams meant and he said to Yosef, “You are a wise man. I want you to collect all the food and you will be the Mishna Lamelech, the people will have to listen to whatever you say.” SA FR M E PL E ER
