Raul Gomez Valverde

Raul Gomez Valverde is a visual artist born in 1980 in Madrid, Spain. He received a BFA from Complutense University in Madrid, an MA from Central Saint Martins, London, and a MFA from School of Visual Arts, New York. His work has been presented in the United States, Spain, United Kingdom, Germany, Italy, Mexico, Argentina, and Cuba. Solo exhibitions include “To look and to look”, PhotoEspaña, Madrid (2010); “2010-2030”, Ventana244, New York (2011); "Colorear/Editar/Ocupar", Museo del Grabado Español Contemporaneo, Malaga; and the forthcoming “Raul would like you to be critically happy”, C Arte C, Madrid (October 2012). Recipient of the Fulbright Scholarship, Carmen Arozena International Award 2010 and the Injuve Prize 2008, Raul is Fellow from the AIM program at the Bronx Museum of the Arts.
