$3,273,891 Dollars raised from Alumni donations
ALUMNI, PARENTS AND FRIENDS, It’s been another incredible year around Zag Nation! This publication shares our top priorities and highlights, and the moments we’ve celebrated together! This past year saw our Career Treks expanding internationally (to London!), our mentoring program (GAMP) becoming accessible online at zagsconnect.gonzaga.edu and we proudly featured president Thayne McCulloh, D. Phil. ’89 in chapter regions including Hawaii and Seattle, kicking off our “Alumnus to Leader” celebration of his 10 years as Gonzaga’s President.
We’re continually proud of all we’ve accomplished together, but realize it’s only because of your continued support of Gonzaga. You’ve hired our graduates, referred our incoming students, provided necessary scholarship support and cheered from every corner of the globe! Thank you for all you do. You inspire us daily.

Students have the opportunity to visit a variety of businesses throughout the day hosted by GU alumni, tour the building, ask questions and attend a short presentation. Afterwards, students and alumni from the area gather to network, make connections and listen to an alumni keynote speaker. Learn more about Gonzaga’s Trek program at: gonzaga.edu/treks

“Winter break of my senior year I went on Gonzaga’s Career Trek in Seattle. This changed my life because I met Glynn Baxter (’17), a Gonzaga alum and my future employer! I asked Glynn to get coffee with me after the trek and we discussed my career interests and opportunities at T-Mobile. We stayed connected and a few months later I was hired as an intern on her team (Emerging Services). This showed me how powerful Gonzaga’s alumni network is and every student should take advantage of it during the career treks!”
Kelsey Burns ’19
Associate Marketing Innovation Manager - T-Mobile
“After Gonzaga gave so much to me over my four years, it was only right to pay it forward. Working at First Republic Bank I knew this was a place where Zags could thrive and wanted to pass along the opportunity. I originally connected with Drew Rieder at a “Zags at the Giants Game” event and mentioned that I would be happy to host a trek. I later received an email asking to host a trek and jumped at the opportunity. In my second year of hosting, I was able to meet Lili Jeffers (’19), a graduating senior. After explaining what is available at the bank she was excited to apply and I connected with her the hiring manager. Lili has been with the bank for two months now and we look forward to her success.”

Gonzaga Day is a day to celebrate all things Gonzaga! Centered around a basketball game, Zag Alumni & Friends chapters from around Zag Nation rally together to celebrate being a Zag.
On February 9th, 2019 Zags from across Zag Nation came together to celebrate the Gonzaga Mission of service to others through service projects in their communities. Gonzaga Alumni Regional Chapters organized over 29 different service projects and donation collection events on February 9th, 2019. This year included an on-campus student service project in partnership with Giving Back Packs, a non-profit started by Gonzaga senior Rick Clark '19.
