BRIDGE Program Tentative Schedule Sunday, August 19: Students arrive on campus and set up their residence hall, and attend a welcome barbeque with other BRIDGE participants and guests.

Monday, August 20-Wednesday August 22: Welcome Luncheon Tour of downtown Spokane Team-building exercises Department tours of Gonzaga Informational sessions Meet esteemed faculty members Service project Thursday, August 23: Breakfast and closing ceremony; students can rest before the New Student Orientation on Friday.

We also offer a PARENT PROGRAM that allows parents to ease into the transition of sending their young adults off to a new experience.

Let me count the ways...  Establish a solid network of friends, faculty and staff.  Informational sessions with Gonzaga ProfesBRIDGE Counselors are GU students who lead, help, and encourage students throughout the program

What is BRIDGE? The Summer BRIDGE program is designed to assist students from multicultural backgrounds in making a smooth transition to Gonzaga University and the greater Spokane community. Summer BRIDGE is run through the Unity Multicultural Education Center which facilitates many of the diversity centered events and programs on campus. Build a BRIDGE from home to school. Students of the Summer BRIDGE program establish lasting relationships with faculty, current students, and BRIDGE alumni. A solid foundation is laid for a network within the Gonzaga community that the students can rely on.

The learning process continues even after the program’s conclusion, through mentoring and multiple opportunities throughout the year.
