GONZAGA COLLEGE HIGH SCHOOL NINETEEN EYE STREET, NORTHWEST

WASHINGTON, D.C. 20001 OFFICE OF THE PRESIDENT (202) 336-7171 FAX (202) 336-7172

November 2,2007

Dear Gonzaga Alumr and Friends,

Welcome to our annual Athletic Hall of Fame induction! This is just one of the many traditions that makes Gonzaga what it is, including one other tonight, the Father/Son Pep Rally and, of course, the annual football game with S1. John's tomorrow.

In an age in which we seem to be a bit short of heroes, especially in the sport world, we are happy to honor our inductees this evening. They are models of the values for which Gonzaga stands: strength, determination, teamwork, achievement, often in the face of

adversity, and commtment to a larger purpose, the Greater Glory.

By honoring them, Gonzaga also does honor to itself by showing gratitude for and appreciation of their efforts. It also affirms for our students that dictu of S1. Ignatius that now adorns the Collins Rotunda: Love ought to show itself more in deeds than in words. Obviously, then, our honorees have loved Gonzaga greatly.

Sincerel y,

~A!~ ~ (Rev.) Allen P. Novotny, S.l President
