Goochland County was recognized by the Virginia Electoral Board Association at its annual meeting on March 9, with the “Summa Suffragari” Award for the highest turnout of active voters in the November 2018 General Election. While the state average was 63.54 percent. Goochland had a 75.36 percent turnout, the highest among all 133 jurisdictions in The Commonwealth. Falls Church City was recognized for the highest turnout among cities with 74.31 percent.
