Goochland County public school students have begun returning to the classroom. On Oct. 13, the county school board voted in favor of a plan presented by school superintendent Dr. Jeremy Raley to transition all students back from the all-virtual education plan that has been in place since the start of the school year. The new plan called for students in grades K-5 to return to school five days a week beginning on Oct. 19. Students in sixth and ninth grades — those moving from elementary to middle school and from middle school to high school — are expected to begin attending class in-person two days a week starting on Nov. 2, and every other grade will attend in-person two days a week beginning Nov. 9. Fully virtual learning is still an option for any family, Raley insisted, and currently accounts
