like going into a shoot talking to my customers to understand what they want. Everyone has an idea of what looks great, and they know what looks good in their mind. I then visualize concepts, colors, poses, and composition of the images. I hope to show people that no matter who you are, no matter what you look like, you have hidden talents waiting to be captured. I want to provide a body of work that’s not just photography but is art. Work that you want to hang on the wall. I love hearing those words, “oh, I love this.” no matter if I am shooting a family, a model or a clothing line for a fashion designer! Everyone has a talent, a look, a wow expression, and can have that amazing “I love it!” moment; that is my passion, my driving inspiration is to create that moment for them.

Hi, I’m Tracy Trottman, the Founder and CEO of Tlonisthings. I’m a

mother of 3 lovely girls and one sweet angel who was born sleeping in 2019. I was born and raised on the beautiful island of Jamaica and migrated to the United States of America in 2000. My family and I lived in NYC for almost 19 years, and I currently reside in Florida. The empire I’m building is called Tlonisthings, where I craft and bake. I specialize in many different treats, for example, cupcakes, cake pops, and cakes. On the crafty side, I design cake toppers, t-shirts, and lots more.

My main reason for writing is to “Make Bet-

ter”™ - to make a better me and a better you by offering constructive guidance. From a springboard of stage acting, I dived into the performing arts of playwriting and poetry to apply commercial theater experience to other areas of my academic development. Then I swam into novels and non-fiction to present my Jamaican perspective of the entertainment and cultural lessons to the world. On the one hand, my five books created the thumb and four fingers that best grasp my nature; my soul, my essence, my questions, my language, my imagination, my sensibility, my education, my philosophy, my creativity, my deepest thoughts and my trivial moments. But, on the other hand, they mirror my undocumented side of personal ambitions and mistakes that led to invaluable detours. A single line or word becomes poetry if its context allows it to be expressed with the intensity

of emotion. The “short” poem exemplifies poetry at its best when a few words possess such an intensity of feeling that the said gives birth to the unsaid exponentially. Poetry is, therefore, able to transcend pollutions of perceptions and hit its mark in its purest form. I am an author, playwright, producer, director, actor, teacher, professional in travel, tourism, health insurance, real estate; a university graduate with a bachelor’s degree.

My name is Kareem Lamont Johnson, the one and only photographer of

Kareem Lamont Photography. I’m from the city of Hampton, Virginia. I got my inspiration from watching America’s Next Top Model (ANTM), and we’ll known photographer Nick Knight. My models are average human beings that I actually see true beauty in themselves. All I ever like doing was taking pictures of people no matter their size, color, or race. My main goal is to work for a magazine that wants to keep showing the reality of beauty in a human being.

Kyle and I make up 203MEDIA based in Brooklyn, NY. We teamed

up about two years ago to create the ultimate power duo. We’ve created multiple spreads and covers with International Magazines, working with different companies to create billboards, marketing and social content for their products, dabble in e-commerce and lifestyle product photography, and more! We live to create, and being able to make something from nothing is magical. You can see our work on our website: 203media.m. Our creative thoughts can be boisterous and can be dull at the same time. The up and downs of being creative provide a rollercoaster type of life! With that, we believe your thoughts become your reality. So to keep the energy high and the spirits bright, we create our reality with wild and crazy visions that can somehow be brought to life if we so chose to do so. What inspires us? In my work, usually, I try to create dark and

moody photographs. However, this time, I decided to explore new ways of seeing color, going beyond my usual somber preferences. The range of possibilities to play with light and texture, through my choice of materials, offers colorful vibrance and boldness and dynamically draws focus to the subject. For inspiration, I looked at sources outside of the photography world, such as music clips and movies. My work aims to bring you back in time to the 2000s and create an engaging visual environment through color, style, and quirkiness. It is also a way to embrace the era I grew up. With styles seen as vulgar and defiant. I remember this time as awkward, in flux, technology just evolving and used to excess. I feel nostalgic about this time as the music, fashion, and atmosphere were unique and resonated with my identity as a young adult. Leather, neon, colored furs, lasers, reflections, and graphics all featured in media. My work challenges the relationship between pop culture and the viewer’s assumptions; with influences such as Lady Gaga, Guy Bourdin, Tony Kelly, and Juco, I strive

to bring two different yet similar worlds together. Ever since I decided to explore photography, I have been fascinated by the social norms and how people react to visuals through time. What started as a passion for “beautiful, aesthetic and minimal” photographs soon shifted to reflect my desire to create “over the top, in your face, creative” visuals by mixing styles, color, texture, and interpretations, leaving only a sense that the incompatible may be compatible. There are no limits to the explorations I can undertake. I am inspired to compose by contrasting light and color while I use multiple concepts and emphasize materials. Strangely, color has appeared in my work, slowly and without intention, concealing the black mood imagery of my past works. I find myself ever curious in the results of immersing myself in the story and recording my reactions and actions, playing, experimenting with my visual world.

Lural is a makeup artist I have been working with for a couple of

years. We both love the renaissance artists and talking about reinterpretations of some of the classic shots for a while. We found we both loved the art of Luis Royo and the timelessness of his work. We love the solid sensual characters he represented, so the makeup artist took to the stage. A true Caribbean girl born in Puerto Rico, raised in Sint Maarten, with parents from Curacao & St. Vincent. At the moment, I live on an island with a castle in the south of Italy called Ischia. However, I have always been surrounding by a source of life - water.

As a creative, I wanted to describe my love for the water artistically, and together with Sherine (the Graphic Designer), we successfully were able to encapsulate this swimmingly. I used water-activated makeup to attain the vibrant cosmetic colors and the colors of fish to showcase what inspired the selection of colors we used. -Kristle Haynes

When I was studying photography, my teacher asked me to do a final

project on the topic “Back to childhood.” Since there was a pandemic in the country and only my husband (Alexander Mamatov) was at hand, I used him. I remembered some of the things that everyone does as a child, such as riding a bicycle, blowing soap bubbles, riding down a slide, driving a typewriter on a string, playing football, singing songs in a comb, reading books with a flashlight under a blanket, shooting a slingshot, flying airplanes, swimming in a bath with boats. In fact, after this photoshoot, there are still many funny photos where the husband rides on carousels, depends on swings, hang upside down on a horizontal bar, etc. All my friends very much liked this series.

I started my photography career intent on being

a guiding hand on uplifting the voices of POC and women. I genuinely believe that if we aren’t supporting our LGBTQ+ community through artistic means, we fail to create safe spaces. The rich vibrancy that comes from creating art with unique individuals is unlike anything else - this era is turning the pages of inclusivity more than ever.
