ALAN MATTHEWS Media Officer Ed Painter speaks with Alan about what has been a impressive week for North Shields Football Club Tonight we welcome the officials, players and supporters from Billingham Town to North Shields. We hope they enjoy their short stay here before the long trek home down the A19 to Teesside.
Before we get into the Covid conversation let's reflect on the hat trick scored on Saturday by Dan Wilson at Seaham. A great effort by all the team was topped off by Dan who recorded our first goals of the season, and by all accounts his third was a real cracker. I can't wait to see the footage. Speaking of which I'd be interested to know what the opinions are about the new camera we have
invested in. It's wide lens allows Nashy to study the play and correct any errors we make. Well that's the theory anyhow, let's hope it works. So as I said I missed the Seaham game because of the renewed Covid threat. Particularly the supposed problems around the Sunderland area. Let's hope we get on top of it again and life can return to some form of normality. You will have noticed that we are changing the seating arrangements in the clubhouse. It's a pain but we will continue to strictly observe all instructions from the F.A. and the Government.
Don't forget there's plenty of hand washing gel in the clubhouse. So back to tonight. Here's hoping the players can follow on from Saturday and claim another three points. We started badly last term and I know Marc is determined to put matters right this time around. Please enjoy the game , and as usual. Up The Robins

MARC NASH Media Officer Ed Painter speaks with Marc about his reaction to the Seaham result and today’s test against Billingham Town Good Evening as we welcome Billingham Town for tonight’s league game. Now in their 2nd season in top flight, they have made a number of changes, including the manager, so they will be hoping to make a great start like they did last season.
points. There’s a good case for it to have been six points but for one magnificent save by the Aycliffe GK from Ryan’s header. At Seaham on Saturday, we converted the chances and got our rewards and I was delighted for Dan Wilson who has worked extremely hard pre season and is fast looking the part in our set up.
When we met we were both very much in form but it only produced a 0-0 draw which was very rare for us, especially at that time when we were frequently scoring 3’s and 4’s. We didn’t get the chance to play the reverse game as it was the first one cancelled when Covid hit in March.
Of course we are still missing two massive players for us in Kyle Patton and Paul Van-Zandvliet but we deliberately went for a bigger squad this year to cope with all of the uncertainty and distractions.
I have been very impressed with our start in the league as we have produced two very solid performances which have brought four
I’m sure this will pay dividends going forward as we begin a very heavy schedule for the first two months. Hopefully, we get some
momentum with fixtures after the disappointment of the Whitley Bay derby getting postponed. Overall, I’m happy with the way things are shaping up but we most keep the consistency and the climate. Everyone has worked tirelessly behind the scenes to allow the fans to be able to return and they have been brilliant so far, selling out against Aycliffe and then a magnificent following at Seaham. More of that please. Enjoy The Game

DIVISION ONE PREVIEW Northallerton Town have surprised a few this season, sitting atop the Division One table after winning two and drawing once. They are also yet to concede in the league so far this season, but surely will face their toughest test when they travel to Shildon, who have had a mixed start to their season; winning once, drawing once and losing once. After losing 3-1 to Frickley Athletic in the FA Cup, Newcastle Benfield return to league action when they make the journey to County Durham to face a Newton Aycliffe side which has drawn every game this season. Unbeaten in the league, Gary Foster’s Guisborough Town side were brought back down to earth, losing 2-1 to Tadcaster Albion in the FA Cup. They look to bounce back at the first opportunity when they travel to the Glebe to face Mark Convery’s Whickham side. After dropping points on the opening day of the season, Stockton Town have responded well, beating Ashington 3-0 before dispatching Billingham Town 2-1 in the
Frenchfields Stadium, looking to improve on their good league form.
FA Cup. They face a journey to Sunderland RCA, who have been on something of a cup run this season, progressing to the First Qualifying round of the FA Cup, courtesy of wins over Division Two Durham City and league rivals Thornaby. After their exploits in the FA Vase, getting to the final after a penalty shootout win over Corinthian, Hebburn Town were knocked out at the first time of asking in the FA Cup, losing on penalties to nineman Pontefract Collieries. With only one league game under their belt, they return to their bread and butter when they welcome struggling West Auckland Town to the Green Energy Sports Ground. Similarly to Hebburn, Penrith have only managed one league game their season, after Whitley Bay pulled out of their opening fixture due to Covid-19 issues. Currently sitting in mid table, the Cumbrians welcome Ryhope CW to
After a bright start to the season, the new look Thornaby side have been brought back down to earth recently, losing to Penrith and Sunderland RCA in successive games. The travel to face an Ashington side sitting in 19th who are looking to respond to a penalty shootout defeat to West Auckland Town. Having rebuilt their squad over the summer, Seaham Red Star were punished by their former striker as Dan Wilson’s hattrick condemned them to a 3-1 defeat to North Shields. Losing David Henderson and Danny Sayer to injury will cause manager Mark Collingwood something of a headache. The visit of FA Vase finalists will no doubt cause him even more concern. Having yet to play a game this season, due to Covid19, Whitley Bay finally get their season underway when they travel to a Bishop Auckland side who are struggling for consistency this season.

NORTH SHIELDS CLUB HISTORY North Shields Athletic was originally formed in 1896, and played initially in the South Shields & District league. They progressed through the Northern Combination, Northern Alliance and North Eastern League and became a major force in North East Football, outside the Football League, moving to play at Hawkey’s Lane around 1900. They originally joined the Northern Alliance, before switching to the North Eastern League in 1908. The club emerged as Preston Colliery F.C. after the Great War, reverting to North Shields A.F.C. in 1928. They enjoyed tremendous local support with a record 12,800 watching the local derby with South Shields in October 1936. Shields won the North Eastern League title in 1950, before the league folded in 1958. Spells in the Midland League and Northern Counties league followed before the club joined the Northern league in the 1964-65 season, finishing third at their first attempt. The Robins moment of crowning glory came in 1969, when they won the FA Amateur Cup by beating Sutton United in front of 47,000 spectators at Wembley Stadium. Shields were a goal down after only four minutes but won with second half strikes from Richie Hall and Brian Joicey – both laid on by Orrick, a shipyard worker from Byker. The club, which also won the Northern League title and Challenge Cup that same year, were declared joint holders of the European Amateur Cup the following season when two games against Italian Side Almas resulted in a level aggregate score. In 1982, the Robins won 1-0 at Halifax Town in the FA Cup First Round, Bede McCaffrey scoring the all-important goal that year. Walsall were the visitors to Appleby Park in the second round, for only the second time in the club’s history and left with a 3-0 victory. Having moved into the national pyramid by joining the NCEL in 1989, North Shields earned promotion to the Northern Premier League by winning the title in 1992. However, financial problems arose, which meant Appleby Park had to be sold to and lead to the club folding. However, they almost instantly reformed as a new club, thanks to the efforts of local people and many of the current committee. The club, headed by new chairman Richard Slade, sought and gained immediate admission to the Second Division of the Wearside League. They were promoted to the top flight as runners-up in their first season, briefly reverting back to North Shields Athletic for four seasons. They enjoyed success in local cup competitions, too, the Shipowners Cup and NFA Senior Bowl added to that title in the 1998/99 treble-winning season. In 1999, the club moved to Ralph Gardner Park, now known as the Daren Persson Stadium, and began to develop the ground to meet the Northern League standards. Once again known as North Shields FC, the club began to kick on, league runners-up in 2000/01 and winners by eight points the following season. They also continued to collect silverware elsewhere, winning the Monkwearmouth Charity Cup in 2001 and again in 2003. After a fifteen-year absence, the Robins gained promotion back into the Northern League in 2004 following their third Wearside League title and a further Shipowners Cup triumph. After ten years in Division Two, the club belatedly returned to the top tier having narrowly missed out in 2010/11. The Robins shattered records en route to the 2013/14 championship including the Daren Persson Stadium attendance which was 1,312 for the visit of West Allotment Celtic and the presentation of the 2nd division trophy. But better was to come as the Robins swept past the likes of Phoenix Sports, Erith & Belvedere and Highworth Town to reach the 2015 FA Vase final at Wembley. In front of almost 10,000 fans, Shields went behind to Glossop North End, but a late equaliser by Gareth Bainbridge and Adam Forster’s extra-time finish clinched the coveted trophy for Graham Fenton’s men. The club also finished fourth in division one to cap a memorable season. The following season 2015-6 Shields finished fifth in the league whilst lifting the Northumberland Senior Cup beating Blyth Spartans 4-3 in a thrilling Final at St James Park. Gary Ormston opened the scoring followed by a Gareth Bainbridge brace with Ryan Carr notching a dramatic last minute winner. Manager Graham Fenton left the club in September 2016 to join South Shields, with Jon McDonald replacing him as manager. McDonald kept North Shields at the top until early April, losing out to South Shields in the title race. North Shields also lost the Senior Cup to Blyth and the League Cup to South Shields after which Jon McDonald left the club. Shields moved to appoint Assistant Manager, Brian Smith as the new Manager, with Gary Ormston stepping up as Assistant and Andy Gowans joining the coaching set up alongside Wilf Keilty. Brian Smith left the club in February 2018 to be replaced by ex Whitley Bay boss Marc Nash. Nash brought with him Anthony Woodhouse who was welcomed back to his old stamping ground as assistant. The duo marked their debut in charge with a sensational 6-5 victory over Jarrow Roofing after the Robins were trailing 5-2 late in the game. With Steve Swinyard coming in as coach the new management team guided the club to a final 8th position as the season closed. The latest campaign of 2019-2020 before halted due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the side saw an impressive 4th placed finish with games in hand on the teams above. The team scored 56 goals only conceding 37

DIVISION TWO PREVIEW Birtley Town have been impressive to begin the season. Following an opening day draw against Willington, They have managed successive wins over Jarrow and Chester-le-Street Town; the latter of which they opened the scoring after only 14 seconds of play. The visit of struggling Tow Law Town could help the club cement their place at the top. Second place Willington, despite playing only twice, have a 100% record in the league, with their goal difference keeping them above a host of others. They travel to Kimberley Park to face a Newcastle University side who are steadily climbing the table, after a slow start. Easington Colliery and Bedlington Terriers are just behind Willington in third and fourth respectively, both with 100% records of their own. While Easington welcome Jarrow, the Terriers travel to bottom of the table Durham City, who are managed by Didier Agathe and former Spartan Tom Wade. Following an opening day defeat, new look Ryton & Crawcrook Albion have

responded well, picking up a hard fought draw at home to Heaton Stannington before comfortably beating Tow Law Town. Looking to maintain their good form from last season, Mark Bullock’s side will travel south to face mid table Esh Winning.
The surprise package of the season so far have been Brandon United, who finished second from bottom last season. They responded to a narrow opening day defeat by comfortable defeating Sunderland West End at home, with new signing Kai Hewitson bagging a brace. A trip to second placed Willington promises to be much more of a challenge for the side.
Having finished second last season, Redcar Athletic have found things a little more difficult this time around, winning once, drawing once and losing once, with their most recent game against Newcastle University ending 1-1. The visit of an inconsistent Sunderland West End side hands the Teessiders the chance to climb further up the Division Two Table.
The last few seasons, Heaton Stannington have been threatening the four promotion places on offer from Division Two. However, after re-signing Connor Campbell from North Shields, they have started slowly this time around, drawing twice and losing once. Sitting in 16th, the visit of Billingham Synthonia will be an early six-pointer.
Similar to Redcar, Carlisle City have found things more difficult this season, after a strong finish to the last campaign. A 2-1 win over Esh Winning helped the Cumbrians club to ninth, while the visit of
With an entirely new look squad, Durham City have started slowly, losing every game. They face a challenge against an impressive Bedlington Terriers side.

V BILLINGHAM TOWN
Billingham Town are a side North Shields haven’t often faced in the past. Over their seven meetings, the records show that both sides have been evenly match, with North Shields’ goal scoring record the only major difference between the two sides. Last season, when Billy Town visited the Daren Persson Stadium, The Robins, who were in the middle of a long unbeaten run, were stretched all the way, clinging on for a 0-0 draw. This season’s Billingham side has seen a number of changes over the summer, most notably Craig Hutchinson, who departed midway through last season to Guisborough Town before signing for Bishop Auckland.

Wilson hattrick hand Robins first win of the season Dan Wilson returned to haunt his former side as his hattrick handed the Robins a comfortable 3-1 win over Seaham Red Star. The returning striker gave Shields the lead just before the break, after converting from close range. He then doubled the advantage midway through the second period, before adding a spectacular third with ten minutes to spare. And despite a late Luke Sullivan penalty, the Robins held to secure their first win of the season. After a quiet opening ten minutes, it was North Shields who looked more threatening going forwards, with a fizzing shot from Nick Cassidy flying across the face of goal. Two minutes later, David Robinson looked to strike against a team he lined up for last season, but his powerfully struck shot stung the palms of Seaham keeper Andy Jennison. It was all Shields by this point in the game and in the 19th minute, a great cross from Cam Cunningham was almost directed in by David Robinson at the far post, but his header was sent just wide of the upright. After being forced into an early substitution, Seaham were struggling to deal with wave after wave of Shields attack, with Cassidy’s shot, after a charging run, bobbling wide after 26 minutes. But this didn’t mean that they were out of the game and two minutes later, Greg Purvis was on hand to smartly collect a dangerous freekick, following a late challenge from the Robins right back. The hosts were struggling to get a foothold in the game and after they were forced into another substitution, only Jennison stood in the way of a sure goal, reacting well to smother a Smith deflection. With time running out in the first half, the Robins were still struggling for that breakthrough, with Cunningham’s towering header drifting inches over the crossbar. However, on the stroke of half time, the Robins finally got what they deserved, when Wilson was on hand to convert from close range, after the home defence failed to clear a low cross into the box.
The second half started much the way the first ended, with the visitors on top. After 48 minutes, Smith’s weaved his way through the home defence before seeing his shot stopped by Jennison. After a brief stoppage in play, David Robinson once again was causing his former teammates all sorts of grief, skipping past multiple challenges in the 58th minute, before scuffing his shot wide of goal. It was a matter of when, not if, the Robins were going to get a second and only two minutes later, they came agonisingly close, with Cunningham’s charging run allowing Cassidy space to shoot from distance, only to see the ball drift inches wide of the bottom corner. With 20 minutes left to play, Shields finally had their deserved second of the day, when a well-worked passing move fed Wilson on the edge of the box. After losing his man, Wilson turned on the spot before curling the ball into the far corner.
Having joined the Robins earlier in the week. debutant Coleby Shepherd was looking to make an instant impact. In the 74th minute, having come on to replace Smith, he carved his way into the penalty area before seeing a goal bound shot blocked by a defender. Two minutes after that, Seaham Red Star keeper Jennison needed to be on point to deny a thunderous Wilson effort, tipping the ball around the post for a corner. But Wilson was not to be denied a hattrick when in the 79th minute, he scored his best goal of the day, thumping a unstoppable shot into the top corner of the net. The Robins were caught out in the 82nd minute, with the hosts being awarded a penalty after Cassidy handled the ball. Former Hebburn Town striker Sullivan stepped up to send Purvis the wrong way. However, before the referee could bring the game to an end, David Robinson had one final chance to open his account for the club, seeing a diving header miss its target from close range. THE INTERVIEW
DAN WILSON Media Officer Ed Painter speaks with Dan about his return to North Shields after several very successful years away. To achieve success on the pitch, whether that be in the Premier League or Sunday League, you need a top scorer. However, acquiring such a talent is easier said than done. Ask any football manager and he/she will tell you exactly that. Last season, the Robins were led up front by Kyle Patton, who scored a whopping 23 goals, despite playing largely out wide as well as through the middle on occasion. However, what they were really missing was an out and out centre forward, who could act as a target man and allow the likes of Callum Smith, Cam Cunningham, Jamie Clark and Patton extra space in which to attack the goal.
even went as far to say that the Wilson was the best striker in the Northern League, after scoring 27 goals for the club last season. But as soon as the prospect of bringing the striker back to the Daren Persson Stadium became a reality, Marc Nash didn’t hesitate to secure the much sought after signature. “I think the end of May/ beginning of June the clubs agreed something,” admitted Wilson when asked about his return to the club. “Out of the teams I had spoken to, the only team I wanted to play for would be Shields. “I have a lot of mates still here and it is a great club.”
Step forward Dan Wilson, who makes his return to the club after prolific spells with now defunct Blyth AFC and current Division One rivals Seaham Red Star.
Last time Wilson featured for the club, having signed from Dunston UTS, he became a fan favourite, making 119 appearances and scoring 28 goals
Last season, Seaham manager Mark Collingwood, in an interview with the Sunderland Echo,
However, he found himself looking for a new club, after Marc Nash and Anthony

Woodhouse took over the first team from former manager, and current South Shields coach, Brian Smith. Having sat behind former striker Ben Harmison, who now plays his football for Division One rivals Ashington, Wilson moved to Second Division side Blyth AFC, helping them to secure a comfortable promotion to Division One. After an unbeaten start to their 2018/19 season, the club resigned from the league and Wilson soon found himself suiting up for Seaham Red Star, where a host of former Blyth AFC players had moved to. But after two seasons at the Ferguson Motor Repairs Stadium, Wilson makes his returns to the club, with promotion the obvious target. However, when asked about his previous time at the club, the striker was quick to put focus on what he was going to do for the club, rather than what he had already done. “I don't see it as unfinished
business,” he explained. “I enjoyed the time I was at North Shields previously and it is great that a lot of the lads are still there. “I have played a lot more football and scored a lot more goals. “I don't think I have missed more than one game in the last two seasons so I would say I am a lot fitter as well. “I am looking forward to pushing up the league and challenging for promotion.” After a long and often uncertain summer, the Robins first competitive game came against Marske United in the FA Cup; a side which finished 5th in the division above Shields. In what was always going to be a seriously difficult game, the Robins were defeated 3-0, courtesy of three first half
goals, all of which came from North Shields mistakes.
“When the draw came out, I don’t think there was a harder game than Marske United away in that round. They are a top team in a higher division,” said Wilson. “We improved second half but if we want to get promoted, they are the teams we would face every week so I think we have learnt from it. “You always want a good run in the FA Vase/ FA Cup so the Tow Law game (19th) will be very important.” What has really benefitted Wilson in his return to the club is that rather than joining up with a team of players he has never played with before, the squad is largely the same. Players like Ryan Carr, Gareth Bainbridge, Gary Ormston, and Adam Forster still call the
Daren Persson Stadium home. “The core group of lads have been there since I was before,” explained Wilson. “They have added some good young players and the squad is full of great footballers now. “I feel I have settled in well and the dressing room is good also.” But it is not just his former Shields teammates he will be reuniting with at North Shields. Joining him in moving to North Tyneside is defender Anthony Myers, who spent the last two seasons with Seaham Red Star, and David Robinson, an attacking midfielder Wilson knows well, having played alongside him at Seaham Red Star and Blyth AFC years before that. Speaking of both Myers and Robinson, Wilson couldn’t be
P21: Official North Shields Match Programme @NorthShieldsFC #HowayTheRobins
more delighted that the duo had signed on. “It is great to have them two on board as they are top players in the Northern League who would get into most teams in the division,” boasted Wilson. “Anth is a very commanding centre half who can also play, he improves the players round him. “Me and Robbo have played together now a good few years and I think it works well as we know each others games, “Even though I should probably pass him the ball more ha!” Looking forward to this season, after drawing 0-0 with Newton Aycliffe on the opening day, many of the clubs supporters will be hoping that the club can finally achieve what can only be described as a long-awaited promotion. When the 2019/20 campaign came to an abrupt end, the Robins were placed fourth, but Wilson believes that, despite missing out in such unfortunate circumstances, the aim should remain the same heading into this season. “I think the goal remains the same, finish as high as possible,” he said. “Anything less than promotion would be a disappointing season, with the squad we have. “Although, this season will be tougher as the league gets stronger.” As any striker will tell you, personal targets are something they take very seriously, especially with their success in front of goal such an important factor to any team. With Patton’s goals last season, the Robins came within a whisker of promotion. However, but with Wilson almost notching 30 goals for Seaham last season, he is hoping that he can achieve something similar this time around. “I was on 27 goals last season when we ended so I would have made it to 30. Anything round that this season id be happy with. “But as long as I am playing well and the teams winning that's the main thing.”

P24: Official North Shields Match Programme
BILLINGHAM TOWN was originally known as Billingham Social Club and was founded in 1967 by Tom Donnelly and Robbie Cushley. Tom, who played in Town’s first game back in 1968, has been secretary of Billingham Town since its conception until 2000 when he became Life president In 1968 Town joined the Second Division of the Stockton & District League and won the league title at the first attempt, playing at Mill Lane and the legendary slope – the top of the corner flag was level with the crossbar. Town stayed in the Stockton League until 1973 and won the Division A League title three times and the League Cup twice and also winning the Stockton Charity Cup twice. In 1974 Town were admitted into the Teesside League and remained members for eight years. During this time they won the League twice (1978-79 and 1981-82) and were runners-up once. In 1975 they were beaten finalists in the Durham Amateur Cup Final, but won the competition in 1976 and 1982. In 1982 the club took the golden opportunity of joining the newly formed Second Division of the Dryboroughs Northern League and changed its name to Billingham Town. After three years in the Second Division Town gained promotion into the First Division but were immediately relegated back to the Second Division in 1986. However, they bounced straight back in 1987 and lost to neighbours Synthonia in the final of the Durham Challenge Cup a year later. Another relegation followed in 199192, but they regained their place in the top flight in 1997-98 and have remained there since. After being runners-up in the Durham Challenge Cup in 1988-89 and 2001-02 Town eventually won the cup in season 2003-04 when manager Alan Robinson led them to a 3-1 victory over then UniBond side Bishop Auckland. Since 1981, ground improvements at the Bedford Terrace ground have resulted in new dressing rooms, a cantilever stand, hard terracing behind one goal, hard terracing and covered accommodation opposite the main stand. A refreshment room and a re-turfed pitch surrounded by an 8ft boundary fence around 5.5. acres.
Bedford Terrace is now recognised as having one of the more attractive grounds in the North-East. Floodlights were installed in the 1992-93 season with the official switch-on match against Middlesbrough F.C. After sever gales blew down one of the pylons, Town installed new floodlights in 2003. In the summer of 2007 Hartlepool United invested in Bedford Terrace and completely re-laid the football pitch to a depth of several feet and installed new drainage. The new pitch measurements and now exactly the same measurements of Pool’s Victoria Park. Also behind the scenes there has been a total facelift with new showers and central heating being put in the dressing rooms. Hartlepool now play the majority of their home Reserve
games at Bedford Terrace. The 2015/6 season saw the arrival of Manager Barry Oliver and assistant Graham Popple whom have brought stability to the club and managed a respectable finish season. The 2016/17 season was one of the club most exciting in recent years with a FA VASE run saw Town knocked by Cleethorpe Town in the 4th Round proper. The Lincolnshire side went on to make the final only to be beaten by South Shields. Also that year Craig Hutchinson broke the record for goals scored with a total of 59. At the end of the 17/18 campaign, stalwart of the club and long running Chairman & Secretary, Peter Martin announced his retirement from all club duties. Unfortunately the 2017-18 campaign saw the club rapidly decline off the field with volunteers leaving and attendances dropping dramatically. In January 2018 the Billingham Town Supporters Trust was set up which worked to oust the regime in charge, eventually taking over the running of the club facilities on 18th February after an EGM of club supporters and volunteers. Paul Beddow was voted in as the new Chairman of the Supporters Trust along with a strong committee behind him. The new committee immediately set about getting the club back on track which saw many ex-volunteers and supports return and rally around the club. At the end of the 2017-18 season, Manager James Hunter and his assistant Harry Taylor stood down from their positions, and the club moved swiftly to appoint familiar face Barry Oliver and ex-Thornaby manager Paul Edwards as a joint management team. With a strong team off the field and stability slowly returning to the club, hopes were high for the 2018-19 season. The team went unbeaten in the league till February 2019 and won the Second division title on the last day of the season with an 2-1 win at Heaton Stannington, before an massive away contingent narrowly beating neighbours Thornaby fc to the title . Craig Hutchinson won the League Golden boot award with 43 goals Recruitment for life in Division one has seen a number of players brought to the club by managers Barry Oliver and Paul Edwards who are continuing for an second season assisted by ex Blackburn Rovers player and last season Billingham Synthonia coach Craig Haley .Carl Morris and Martin Bennington are goalkeeper coaches and Harrison Hudson medical director In late August Barry Oliver and Craig Haley left the club Paul Edwards brought in ex Scarborough striker Neil Campbell as assistant manager . The 2019/20 campaign saw the club end up 10th after the corona virus made the season null and void
The club took an new name from the Billingham town supporters trust to a limited company 0n 3rd August 2019 now known as Billingham Town Association Football club Ltd, this was to establish an longer term development strategy for the club and development of the facilities at Bedford Terrace . The club established an Under 23 team playing in the DFA Sunday afternoon league and also the ground is home to Middlesbrough women FC .Season 2020/21 will see Barry Oliver as manager assisted by Drew Lambert, David Dickson ex Synners manager and Andy Lindridge former Town reserves coach .A new under 18 team has been created in DFA Saturday league. Paul Beddow stood down in late June 2020 as Chairman and director John Tough took over the role .Grants have been obtained to upgrade the clubhouse and floodlights/power supply for the new season

P35: Official North Shields Match Programme @NorthShieldsFC #HowayTheRobins
Today’s businesses demand a robust and dependable energy solution provider, Northern Gas and Power has already built strong foundations and has a reputation for exceeding expectations. Since we launched we have worked with thousands of businesses in a range of sectors, our service has evolved to become the most dynamic energy procurement and management service on the market today. At NGP we offer Global buying power with a personal touch. In 2018 along we contracted almost 12,000 energy meters, equating to 5.1 billion kilowatt-hours! That’s equivalent to the entire energy consumption of Tanzania! Quite an achievement from a company that starts from our MD’s bedroom only 7 years ago, even if we do say so ourselves!
