Late (Sri) Rajendra Singh (Former Minister of Agriculture & Irrigation, Govt. of U.P. and Leader of Opposition) further carried out and extended the educational system at Iglas. He had the vision to develop the rural area of Iglas as an educational hub. He made concerted efforts to establish several institutes at Iglas namely Ch. Charan Singh Shivdan Singh (P.G.) College, Sri Shivdan Singh Smriti College and Smt. Saroj Singh Technical and Paramedical College, Aligarh. Education in the areas of Agriculture, Arts, Science, Forestry, Food Science, Microbiology, Medical Lab Technology and Teachers Training is being imparted in these institutes. Iglas became famous for good educational facilities in the country. Students from Laddakh to Kanyakumari and West Bengal to Rajasthan came to Iglas for pursuing education.

Freedom fighter Late (Sri) Thakur Shivdan Singh formed the Jawahar Vidyalaya Society in 1948 and established modern education system in Iglas (Aligarh). The Society has a glorious history of more than 60 years. The JVS draws its inspiration, values and vision from noted social worker Late Thakur Shivdan Singh. He was the founder of the Inter College at Iglas which is now famous as Shivdan Singh Inter College in the area.
His wife Late (Smt.) Saroj Singh also contributed a lot in the development of educational institutes and helped people from all walks of life. Further, Sri Rajendra Singh also planned for technical education. His son Sri Dilip Singh fulfilled his dreams and established the Aligarh College of Engineering and Technology and Aligarh College of Pharmacy at Aligarh.
It is our dream that students will ...experience their classrooms as invigorating, even inspiring environments - places they look forward to going to and places they hate to leave. It is our dream that they will come to know themselves as masters of various crafts... It is our dream that ... they will come to love the process of learning itself... by making it their own.
