Welcome to the 2025 JF Bulls Scalebuster Bull Sale, IOWA’S #1 SALE FOR RANCHERS WHO SELL THEIR CATTLE BY THE POUND.
This set of bulls is bred to add pounds to your calf crop and profit to your bottomline. These bull are backed by some of the most productive cows in the industry. The JF cow herd was built with performance, maternal and overall quality in mind.
All bulls selling will be semen checked prior to the sale and sell with a fertility guarantee as per the terms and conditions recomended by the American Simmental Association. If a problem occurs, the buyer is responsible to return the bull to JF and will have the option to select a suitable replacement or take sale credit.
We will retain ¹/₃ semen interest in all bulls. Therefore, ²/₃ semen interest, full possession; and salvage value sells on each bull.
We are happy to welcome back Double B Angus as guests to the sale this year. Their bulls are being developed at Janssen Farms and are performing well alongside ours.

Fellow Cattlemen + Women,
What a time to be in the cattle business! Bred heifers, fat cattle, feeder cattle, kill cows and bulls are through the roof right now. I still think we are on the front side of this upswing. Unfortunately, there are less cattle men and women in the country every year doing exactly what we all do day in and day out. With that said, cow numbers in the country will struggle to catch up to previous record highs. With fewer cows, everyone needs to be able to put more pounds on 4 wheels, meaning the fat cattle will get bigger in the near future. There’s no easier way to increase your weaning or fat cattle weights than to buy a bull on a sale named after that exact thought! We want to welcome you to the Janssen Farms Scale Buster Bull Sale!
Our focus at Double B Angus is to combine EPDs during the mating selections that will lead to bulls meant for breeding heifers and young cows down the road. We select for low birth weight and high calving ease numbers, but that does not mean we don’t consider the growth side of things. Our goal has always been to keep the end user in mind when breeding cows. If we can help you by adding pounds to your weaned or finished calf crop, we will all profit from it.
As in the past, we would like to thank the Janssen family for the opportunity to be a part of the Scale Buster Bull Sale. Brady is back and is doing an awesome job caring for these bulls daily. We are very blessed and thankful to be able to call you all friends.
