With this spatial framework we face the classic task of modernizing the park typology to come in step with the innovative history and ambitions of VDNKh. Modern public spaces, streetscapes, parks and community complexes, have morphed into multi-experiential locations. The enormous attribute of VDNKh is a historical heritage that is made up of a collection of architecturally diverse pavilions and landscapes. The design must balance important, and ongoing, needs for stewardship of existing structures, infrastructure, and ecologies, while sustaining and further endorsing the underlying economy and resulting livelihood of the park. The mixed-ness and variation of program, open-spaces and the setting of the existing historic pavilions within VDNKh is an inspiration and an architectural starting point.

The 21,000 m2 Dance Palace forms part of the European Embankment city quarter masterplan for a new urban square in the historic centre of St. Petersburg. Integration with the existing neighboring buildings is achieved by both the scale of the building - which in elevation follows St. Petersburgâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s typical 28m roofline â&#x20AC;&#x201C; and the transformative transparency which is introduced by a facade system of triangular cladding panels. The variation between opaque and perforated panels creates a controlled openness, depending on program, views and orientation.

The mixed-use retail and residential complex is located on the Avenue de la Toison d’Or, between the two historical gates, the Porte Louise and the Port de Namur. Essential to the design is the urban context and the connection to the existing buildings. The strong verticality of the existing facade rhythm was continued in the design for the Toison d’Or building. The duality of the programme (retail and apartments) is translated into the façade design by means of V-shaped portals which act as a visual link between the two functions. These portals further create diversity and rhythm in the facade, in addition to emphasising the terrace spaces of the upper apartments.

The surrounding characteristics are highlighted through: - The dynamic avenue de la Toison D’Or - The two “Portes” Namur and Louse - Palace of Justice - Hilton hotel - Royal Palace These are mainly in the front, while the more residential and inner green courtyards are oriented to the back of the project. This dynamic difference between big scale public and small scale private is embedded within this project.

THE NATIONAL ART MUSEUM OF CHINA Beijing, China, 2010
The architectural concept in the design for the NAMOC is based on uniting dualities; past and future, day and night, inside and outside, calm and dynamic, large and small, individual and collective. The two volumes of the building reference ancient Chinese ‘stone drums’. Whilst the architecture of the museum is represented by the ancient artifact of the stone drum, the art within represents its spirit, or its “essence”. In the same way that the agile strokes of ink in a Chinese painting give spirit to a blank piece of paper, the art collection gives spirit to the museum. The main focus of the design is to create optimal and varied spaces for the display of art.

THEATRE SPIJKENISSE Spijkenisse, The Netherlands, 2011
The design for the Theatre Spijkenisse focuses on the placement and orientation of the building in the urban location, whilst simultaneously providing architectural solutions for programming needs and public access. The placing of the programmes within the building aims for efficient routing through the theatre, coupled with a logical relationship to the surroundings, whilst the design and placement of the various volumes make use of the natural variations in the levels of the site. The two main theatre spaces are positioned to receive the visitor flow directly from the foyer and the public square. From the foyer, a sculptural stairway forms the binding element towards the entrances to the theatre rooms. The theatre cafe is located adjacent to the nearby water and is designed as a third theatre, in the form of an amphitheatre.

Mirror installation investigates compressed duration of time between past, present and future. Live is motion back toward. Viewing a past - zone of our experience, moving ahead with our blind side - zone of unknown. Always if a new step going to be done, then one step back has to be done in relation to previous experience. Incredible a moment of bifurcation and inversion of motions vector is taking place. Because of concave-convex structure of an installation observer is never placed in frontal position to the present. He is not able to get an image of â&#x20AC;&#x153;now-self reflectionâ&#x20AC;?. Perception attracted by kaleidoscopic effect of surroundings and other visitors reflections. Mirrored reflections, dynamic images are cross-linked, superimposing presence into past, future into presence, which is, according to Bergson, how we experience time.

How the energy of the past is transformed into a new, into now? Where is the moment of transition in time and space, how we can reflect it? Possibly overlay of the past and the future can create the visualization, as in light interference work with mutual gain or attenuation of the amplitude of intersecting waves. The installation “Architecture movement” attempts to introduce a mechanism that transforms perception of existing context. Arrangement of design elements to create a dynamic visual effect “moire”, where the interval of the sequence of elements organized undulating, gently graded pattern. The viewer moves around the sculpture resembles the natural flow of energy and is involved in the unfolding of the field of visual effects, which depends on the angle and speed of movement of the participant. installation: ARCHITECTURE OF MOVEMENT

The project explores the notion of flow that based on the results of textile structure analysis. It investigates physical experiments that create three dimensionally heterogeneous materials with a graded stiffness, a structural hierarchy, and a locally controlled lighting dynamic performance. Presented model translate soft textile organization to the pre-tectonic, pre-architectural landscape organization.Studies are split up in two basic typologies and got focused on “layering” and “branch” fiber composite organizations. Architectural design is very often is not about having ideas but about having techniques: techniques that operate on a material level. If we need ideas, they follow from techniques, and techniques follow from matter. It is about making matter think and live by itself. installation: fibre flow

TRANS<MATTER ART RESIDENCY, CACIS Calders / Barcelona, Spain, 2012
Traditions of textile weaving, basketwork techniques are crucial historical and cultural artefacts in the study of lightness as a mean of reducing energy consumption. There is a fascinating crossing of textile tradition and architecture, particular in Spanish architecture. From Churrigueresque 18th century stile to Catalan Modernism is recognizable tremendous Spanish technique of weaving, bobbin lace (majaderuelos). The Project deals with recreating lightness with the synergy of different materials, as rattan fibres and plastics, in dialog with local craft tradition.

During the exhibition were presented the results of my studies and researches at Staedelschule in Frankfurt. My interest was interdisciplinary research between architecture, manufacturing and ecology. As such, these interests are concerned with material organization and performance across all scales of design thought and practice. Investigation based on analyses of graphic and textile field of organisation. Graphic sample is a painting of Armand Fernandes, Crusaders 1968 and textile sample is a malimo weave technique.
