Q Where did you meet?

We met at a stag-do when I was a Best Man for a good friend of ours. I organised a round of Pub golf for a gang of rugby players, and at 4am, myself and Scott were the last ‘men’ standing!

Q How did he propose?

On Christmas Day in 2013, he took me for a walk on Eastbourne Seafront after breakfast, and as we stopped to look at the sea and have a little cuddle he pulled out a ring. He said “I know at times I haven’t been the best boyfriend, but I promise I will spend the rest of my life making sure I am the best husband.”

I then cried for about four hours, I’m not even sure I got round to saying yes!

Care for the skin you’re in I can’t stress enough the importance of good skincare. Getting a routine going will give you a youthful radiant glow and mean that your makeup will sit far better on your skin and last that much longer on the big day itself.

Using a good exfoliator once or twice a week such as Bobbi Brown Buffing grain (£29) or Elemis Gentle Rose Exfoliator (£30) will leave your skin feeling clean, soft and smooth.

Buffing grains can be mixed with cleanser or water and are suitable for all skin types. It is formulated with Japanese adzuki bean powder to help remove dry surface patches and encourage skin cell turnover. It’s gentle on the skin and the result is fabulous.

Elemis Gentle Rose exfoliator contains jojoba beads to gently exfoliate and is rich in cucumber extracts and Vitamin C to help hydrate and refresh. It’s not scratchy, but leaves your skin feeling super smooth, and it smells divine!

Invest in a good cleanser and toner. Shop around, but remember that if you want the best, it will

typically cost a little more. Choosing the correct one will depend on your lifestyle. Do you want a wash and go which takes seconds, or a cleansing mask that takes minutes?

Crème De La Mer Cleansing Gel (£65) - for normal to oily skin - is amazing and will leave your skin looking and feeling superb. It draws dirt, makeup and pollutants out from the skin without harsh rubbing.

The toner is just as important as the cleanser. Bobbi Brown Hydrating tonic (£21) is a good choice. It hydrates, removes any impurities and excess residue, and is calming and refreshing. Find a good moisturiser for your skin type.

According to a national newspaper the following is true: ➥ Two thirds of single women admit planning their wedding before finding the groom ➥ Average age to start planning is 13, and 1 in 10 even start saving ➥ Nearly half have identified which friends they want as bridesmaids ➥ One in 20 has bought a bridal magazine and 34% browse the web ➥ A keen 13% know the month they want to marry ➥ Nearly half (49%) of women confess they have selected their dream dress ➥ Unsurprisingly 58% said they wouldn’t share this with a future partner
