Public Notices Exhibition of Economic Development Strategy (EDS) for the Gosford LGA
at Gosford Administration Building from Wednesday 2 December 2015 until Wednesday 3 February 2016.
Gosford City Council has completed an Economic Development Strategy for the Gosford LGA.
The exhibition material may also be viewed on Council’s website gosford.nsw.gov.au during the exhibition period. The aim of the Planning Proposal is to amend Gosford LEP 2014 by:
This Strategy outlines a framework of objectives to deliver long term economic development, prosperity and growth for our residents and stakeholders, over the 20 year period to 2035.
- Rezoning certain land within Gosford City Centre from B3 Commercial Core to B4 Mixed Use and certain land from B4 Mixed Use to B3 Commercial Core as indicated in the advertised Planning Proposal.
Objectives will be prioritised and staged within measurable timeframes. Delivery will be communicated through Council’s Delivery Programs, Operational Plans and Annual Reports.
- To provide development incentives for land zoned B3 Commercial Core within Gosford City Centre by introducing provisions which allow applicants to access a time limited capped bonus “pool” of floor space subject and/or increased height subject to compliance with certain site and design criteria, being a minimum street frontage of 40m, a minimum site area of 2800m2 and a maximum height of RL 99, compliance with design excellence development controls and the provision of significant public benefit.
Progress towards the 2035 Economic Vision (“Vision”) will be reviewed annually by Council. The Vision is based on forecast economic and market conditions in 2015, which may change over time. This Strategy will therefore be reviewed and adapted if necessary, at not less than five yearly intervals, for change and opportunities arising, during the 20 year time horizon. Council will update the Community on the outcomes of these formal reviews. The Economic Development Strategy will be available for viewing until 5 February 2016 at:
