AT THE LAST COUNCIL MEETING

Kibble Park may soon become the technological hub of Gosford City through the implementation of municipal Wi-Fi & a diverse range of programming. A report to council proposes that high-speed broadband be made available to the public to increase engagement and ensure Kibble Park is an accessible, connected place. Council will discuss the recommendations at the next Strategy/ Policy Workshop.

AT THE LAST COUNCIL MEETING

Council has adopted the Delivery Program 2013/14 – 2016/17, incorporating the Operational Plan 2014/15. The program covers council’s Community Strategic Plan & four-year Delivery Program, as well as a oneyear Operational Plan and a multi-year Resourcing Strategy. A brochure will be delivered with the Rates Notices later this year to help residents learn more about the Delivery Program.

AT THE LAST COUNCIL MEETING

The Rotary Club of Kincumber will benefit from an interest-free loan of $33,000 from council, which will help to fund the construction of their shipbuilders’ memorial project. The memorial project will consist of a boat frame sculpture with a viewing platform, and will promote the boatbuilding history of the area.

Council has awarded the tender for the architectural consultancy and design of the Woy Woy Oval grandstand and sportsground facilities. The Sydneybased architectural consultants will coordinate the design of the new grandstand and its associated infrastructure.
