Goshen College

A Goshen College education is affordable.

99%

of Goshen College traditional undergraduate students receive financial aid

How much financial aid can you expect?

$26,930

Last year’s average aid package (not including work-study or loans)

Invest in your future: We produce graduates ready to be employed:

92%

of recent graduates were employed, in grad school or service within one year after graduation

We produce graduates who succeed in graduate school:

#3

Ranking by Washington Monthly for bachelor’s colleges in the United States in percentage of graduates who go on to earn Ph.D.s.

And we produce graduates with less debt than the national averages (for public and private colleges).

83%

of Goshen College graduates complete their degree in four years, which saves them considerable money and gets them into their careers sooner

83%

of Goshen College full-time, first-year students received academic scholarships last year

Here’s how we build your financial aid package:

1

First, we award scholarships. Academic scholarships for first-year students range from $10,000 to $16,000 per year depending on your grade point average (GPA) and ACT or SAT scores (optional). Achievement scholarships recognize your accomplishments and the promise of future achievement at GC, and range from $1,000 to full tuition.

2

Then we add need-based grants.

3

Next, we offer student loans.

4

And finally, we add church aid and work-study.

Up to $9,600 in Indiana grants and up to $6,345 in federal grants, plus institutional need-based aid. This is gift aid, so it doesn’t need to be paid back.

First-year students can borrow a maximum of $5,500 in federal loans. Parent loans and private loans are also available.

Our church aid matching grant will apply dollar-for-dollar to the first $1,000 your church gives. First-year students can earn a maximum of $1,000 in work-study income.

Once you take the scholarships, grants and loans into account, you’ll find that a Goshen College education is significantly less than the original sticker price.

Estimate your actual cost and scholarship: The best way to estimate your individual financial aid award from Goshen College is to use our online Net Price Calculator (which will also estimate your academic scholarship).
