Soccer Camp

This motivating four-day camp focuses on teaching soccer fundamentals, purpose, body balance, safety, directional movements, heading, goalie positioning, ball handling and sportsmanship. Pre-register at the Park Office from now until June 7—or until the camp is full. Dates and times are subject to change dependent on instructor schedule.

Location: Shanklin Park

Fee: $30 per participant

Goshen Sharks Soccer League

The Goshen Sharks soccer program is a co-ed recreational league open to kids ages 4–10. Our program is designed to encourage athletic activity and a love of the world’s most popular sport with an emphasis on effort, participation and skill development. Games: Saturdays, 9 am–1 pm

Practice: One weekday evening per week

Location: Pringle Park

Early Registration: $45 per participant through July 24

Youth Basketball League

This youth basketball program is a co-ed recreational league open to kids ages 5–10. The program begins with a two–day camp that will meet January 6 and 13, 2024. The camp is designed to introduce those new to the sport and to further participants’ understanding by instructing on a variety of basketball rules, while players also learn new skills. In addition, this allows coaches and staff to assess abilities to better create balanced teams. Our program is designed to encourage athletic activity and a love of the game of basketball while placing an emphasis on effort, participation and skill development. Champion Force Cheerleading

Participants gain a sense of team spirit, improved selfesteem and readiness for high school cheer squad tryouts. In our program, we teach cheerleading and pompom techniques, jumps, stunts, cheers, chants, dance steps and voice projection. Coaches choreograph a competition routine, which all students learn and practice throughout the session in preparation for our Cheer Competition. Champion Force is a non-profit youth outreach program and is open to boys and girls ages 4–18. Class meets at Schrock Pavilion in Shanklin Park. I Try Sailing

This nautical program is a free introductory sailing clinic for youths ages 8–15. Come see what it takes to sail and discover a new interest! This is a great introduction to our Sailing Camp (below). I Try Sailing is being offered Wednesdays in June and July. The I Try Sailing clinics will meet at Fidler Pond Park, 1424 Lincolnway East, on Wednesday, from 10 am to 12 noon. Students must be able to swim and if under 18 be accompanied by an adult. All equipment and materials are provided.

Sailing Camp

This camp is focused on introducing youths ages 8–15 to the sport of sailing. It teaches a new skill base consisting of nautical terminology, parts of a sailboat, knot tying, and teamwork while empowering boys and girls to do great things on their own. The camp will offer students meaningful opportunities for building self-confidence and self-discovery while cultivating an appreciation of our natural resources. Camp meets at Fidler Pond Park, 1424 Lincolnway East. Preregistration is required by camp start date. Cost of the camp is $110. All equipment and materials are provided.

Ages 8–15: Monday to Friday, June 26–30, 9 am–12 noon Registration is open now through Monday, June 23.

Art Camp

This stimulating art study course is taught utilizing various art materials, as well as incorporating the study of nature. The class instructor will capture campers’ interest, guiding both their aspirations and inspirations!

Dates: July 10–13

Fee: $50

Ages and Times: 6–9 years, 10 am–12 noon; 10–12 years, 1–3 pm

Location: Young at Art, 212 West Washington Street, Goshen (inside the Painters Guild)
