My name is Justine and I have recently set up my own business as a complimentary therapist. I retrained in 2018 following a spell with work related anxiety. I was trying to find something that would really help me on a practical level and this is when I came across EFT. EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) is sometimes referred to as ‘tapping’ and is simply the best thing I have found to help cope with anxiety (amongst other things). I had a long standing fear of flying which has now simply disappeared.
My office is located in Northallerton High Street but can also work online via Skype if people were not able to get to me in person. The main focus of the work I do is to help people feel better, be kinder to themselves, be more accepting, handle problems better and feel good on the inside and on the outside. All these changes are possible with the right kind of help. EFT works by combining a little bit of talking therapies with the emotional meridian points established within acupuncture.
There are no needles involved and as a client you would simply tap on your meridian points, guided by me. It is helpful for many things including anxiety, depression, phobias, OCD, panic attacks, daily stresses and strains, PTSD and physical relief from symptoms of MS, fibromyalgia and menopause. It can also be used to assist anxiety in children. If you are unsure if EFT can help you please feel, free to get in touch.
Running my own business was not on the cards when I started my career in marketing. I have enjoyed working for brands like Lexus, Hyundai, Department of Health, all in the capacity of a Marketeer. Working for LandRover as a marketing consultant was the start of things to come - I felt very honoured to have been given the opportunity to market such an amazing brand. What I enjoyed the most was working closely with customers and one of my favourite jobs was organising events; taking clients off roading, giving them an experience of a lifetime (if you have never tried balancing on 2 wheels - you should! With a professional of course) and another was product placement, taking the brand to the customers at shows. After 7 years, I was then approached to work with not only one dealership but 16, which meant traveling the country covering the North East. My favourite experience during my role was when I was asked to help 16 dealers launch the new Evoque. Every dealership had a different idea on how they wanted to unveil such an amazing product, from showroom events, to theatre events, from cup cakes to champagne and canapés, from soloist singers to 4 piece violinists like Scala. Being a marketeer was my passion - until travelling the country and living out of a suitcase took its toll. During my role, I took on the task of delivering a magazine for the motor industry and always felt a passion for doing so, which led me take on a magazine of my own, keeping closer to home and closer to my son. After celebrating our 60th issue of Gossip Magazine and taking on a new member of the team, it has enabled me to follow another passion from my past and that is coordinating events. Sleek Events will enable me to work closely with my very own charity, JPC Community Farm, putting on events to raise money for an amazing cause while helping other companies who also need advice on how to take an idea and bring it to life or even take on the full project so they don’t have to. Paul Connaughton My name is Paul Connaughton and I run JPC Specialist Motor Sports which is responsible for bringing amazing Super Cars within arms reach of the general public. Alongside business partners, Jonny Hayes and George Hamlyn, we have been organising Super Car Events since 2017, with our first being at Wynyard Hall, which was a huge success. As a co-founder of JPC Community Farm, I wanted to incorporate my son, James’, love of cars with some great fund-raising opportunities, as well as giving something back to the local community. With my background in the motoring industry as a representative for Supagard, I set out to put on the best Super Car events the North East has ever seen. We are also proud to be able to put smiles on the faces of children and their families who are in need of extra love and support, whether that be due to a terminal illness, recent bereavement or other circumstances through our Miles for Smiles programme in association with Drive Nation (our parade partners) where we have brought SuperCars to someone’s home and taken them and their families for an exciting ride. After the success of our second year bringing SuperCar Saturday to Stockton High Street, we are returning to Wynyard Hall on 17th August for our third year, bringing more high performance cars and an assortment of other special vehicles. It is set to be an amazing day, with plenty for the whole family to enjoy, including rides for the kids and some delicious food offerings. Look out for more details on Facebook.
