With a number of categories aimed at current and future students and Curtin alumni, the 2014 Curtin Innovative International Scholarships provide financial assistance of 25 per cent of tuition fees reimbursed for each semester of study. Applicants from all categories are able to choose from a range of business courses at both undergraduate and postgraduate level.

ABOUT THIS CATEGORY Curtin University strives to give high achieving students around the world the opportunity to pursue their ambitions and gain a world-class education. Through the 2014 Curtin Innovative Merit Scholarship, Curtin welcomes eligible students who are citizens of Bangladesh, Brazil, Colombia, India, Kenya, Nepal, Mauritius, Middle East, Pakistan, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Zambia or Zimbabwe. Recipients of the scholarship will receive 25 per cent of tuition fees paid for the first year of study at Curtin, subject to meeting ongoing eligibility criteria. ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA Applicants: • Must be citizens of Bangladesh, Brazil, Colombia, India, Kenya, Mauritius, Middle East, Nepal, Pakistan, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Zambia or Zimbabwe. • Must apply through a registered Curtin University Sydney agent.

• Need to meet Curtin University’s academic and English language entry requirements. Academic cut-off scores apply (minimum academic scores are detailed by country and can be found by visiting scholarships.curtin.edu.au - academic scores will differ according to program being applied for). • Must be international, full fee-paying students (students on the scholarship are not able to utilise Credit for Recognised Learning – CRL). • Must be commencing a full undergraduate or master by coursework degree in Semester 1 or 2, 2014 at Curtin University Sydney. • Will be assessed for eligibility upon application. Students are required to read and sign the respective terms and conditions when accepting their Letter of Offer. • Cannot apply for this scholarship if they are a recipient of, or have applied for, any other Curtin University scholarship. • Must maintain status of Good Standing, as well as being enrolled in full time studies of 100 credit points each semester. • Must remain international students through the duration of the scholarship period (penalties may apply for students who withdraw or are terminated from their scholarship year). • Cannot defer the scholarship beyond Semester 2, 2014. • Should note that course availability may result in a student not being able to commence a program of their choosing. • The scholarship is not available to students coming to Curtin via sponsoring bodies.


APPLICATION PROCESS Students are invited to apply through any one of Curtin University Sydney registered education agents. Visit sydney.curtin.edu.au/future-students/ agents-in-your-country. Admissions will assess each application accordingly and issue a supplementary letter, along with a Letter of Offer, to confirm whether the applicant has been successful. The supplementary letter includes the full terms and conditions for the scholarship, which must be read, agreed to, signed and returned as part of the process of accepting the Letter of Offer.
