Discover English was the first school to offer its students an extra 10 hours per week of free instruction (an optional 5 hours in the library with a teacher and 5 hours of electives). We also run a free weekly job seminar and activities 7 days a week.
Students are at the centre of our organisation. We provide flexibility and choice to ensure that each individual student is doing the course that’s right for them. Students are free to meet with Discover English staff throughout the day to discuss their course options.

Our Business English course prepares students with the English language skills specific to the corporate environment. It explores a range of business-based topics with an emphasis on the specialized vocabulary and communicative skills required to succeed in today’s business arena. The course develops students` confidence and ability to communicate effectively in English in a business context.
Our IELTS preparation courses cover reading, writing, listening and speaking skill development for both the general and academic tests with a focus on the techniques needed to successfully achieve desired IELTS score outcomes.
The English Excel course takes advanced level students to near native level. This course hones English skills, removes fossilised errors and ensures students can excel with their English communicative skills and maximize English proficiency. A number of pathway opportunities are available to students in the English Excel course.

Cambridge certificates are valid for life and recognised by more than 11,000 employers, universities and government bodies worldwide. `Extras’ is an optional free one hour elective run twice a day by one of our teachers. Classes include pronunciation, grammar, listening, conversation and academic English.
A teacher is in the computer lab in the supervised self-study periods to assist students with homework, resumes, or any questions students might have about English language.

ACCOMMODATION & OTHER SERVICES Discover English is happy to assist you with finding accommodation in Melbourne: HOMESTAY Discover English approves all homestay providers and places students according to individual needs and preferences where possible. There are two options available: HALF BOARD (includes breakfast and dinner weekdays and 3 meals on weekends). ROOM ONLY (single room with no meals, but students have access to the kitchen).
STUDENT RESIDENCE Student residence offers single-studio apartment type rooms for students who like to have independent lifestyle. All rooms are furnished and include an ensuite bathroom, bar fridge, microwave, work desk and LCD TV with Foxtel. For those looking to cook a meal, there is a communal kitchen area. Minimum booking 5 weeks.
