South Dakota Herefords Promoting the Breed By Serving Thousands of Ribeye Sandwiches For a little over a decade, the South Dakota Hereford Association (SDHA) has served thousands of Hereford Ribeye Sandwiches at Dakotafest in Mitchell, SD, every August. This year was no exception. Over the years, the sandwich stand has become a crowd favorite food vendor at the annual event that showcases over 500 vendors ranging from seed and equipment companies to livestock demonstrations and political forums. The 2022 dates for Dakotafest are August 16-18th and we will be there again. Volunteers are needed to help at the booth.
