HURON, SOUTH DAKOTA

[ G E N E RA L I N FO ] ALL LIVESTOCK MUST BE STALLED IN THE LIVESTOCK FACILITY NO STALLING IN THE CAMPGROUNDS, TRAILERS OR NON-DESIGNATED AREAS!

NEW FOR 2022

There will be no reserving cattle stalls, or sheep / goat pens before Saturday, July 23rd! Any signs, caution tape, duct tape etc. will be removed if put up before that date.

THIS ALLOWS THE STATE FAIR MAINTENANCE TEAM TO PROPERLY CLEAN THE FACILITY BEFORE OUR EVENT.

For reserved stalls, we ask that simple signs with the number of tie spots be used -- no wire, tape, etc. THIS IS A HAZARD TO THE CLEANING CREWS AND ALMOST RESULTED IN SERIOUS INJURY LAST SUMMER.

Bedding may not be placed until Tuesday, July 26th. HOG PENS MAY NOT BE RESERVED EARLY, PENS WILL BE SELECTED UPON ARRIVAL.

*P L EASE N OT E* Cattle Exhibitors: please make sure tack is on the outside of the stalls. BE COURTEOUS ABOUT STALL SPACE AS WE ARE ANTICIPATING LARGE NUMBERS. DO NOT LEAVE TIE SPACES OR EMPTY PENS BETWEEN FAMILIES. Sheep / Goat Exhibitors: Sheep and/or goats will be penned 2 head per pen and only 1 tack pen per family. DO NOT LEAVE EMPTY PENS BETWEEN FAMILIES. PENNING IS TIGHT SO EVERY PEN COUNTS.
