Welcome to our family’s 42nd Annual Bull Sale. Thank you for the trust and confidence you have placed in the “LT” brand and breeding program. The best testament of our program is based upon the success of so many great operations that have put their trust in our cattle and customer service. We are truly blessed to be a small part of so many progressive commercial cow-calf and registered operations in the nation!

Each Fall and Winter we get to see what our genetics can do for our customers through our feeder cattle buyback program. We enjoy seeing how so many of our customers calves have continued to improve and that continue to top the markets on both price and pounds on the scale. Our goal is straight forward, we want to bring industry changing genetics to our customers that will help your operations be as efficient and profitable as possible.

This past year I had the privilege to be part of a special beef marketing committee comprised of several industry leading seedstock producers. Our goal is to focus on promoting high quality, environmentally friendly, sustainable beef to the consumer world. We have met with several of the major packers across the country and a new and upcoming producer owned packing plant. We are focused on promoting the benefits of the Charolais and Angus breeds and especially the benefits of crossbreeding the two highly sought after breeds. We are aiming to launch a new branded beef program focused on the future of consumer demand by educating the consumer of the differences in the quality of beef they are buying and most definitely how it was raised. Traceability, climate-smart and sustainable are going to take the lead moving forward in the consumers eye on the meat counter. With the shortage of cattle in the supply chain, there is no better time than now to put the best genetics to work for your operation and to capitalize on the growing demand of high-quality beef!

The bulls in this year’s offering reflects our commitment to provide proven, profitable genetics to our customers. We have continued to use many of our tried and proven sires that are well known around the Charolais and Angus world and have added several up-and-coming herd sires to the program that we feel will help promote the sustainability of the commercial cow-calf producer. Free delivery within a 400-mile radius. We will assist with trucking arrangements for further distances. Delivery will begin the week following the sale. Please make delivery arrangements at the settlement desk. If you prefer to haul your own bulls on sale day we will give a $100 per head discount.

BREEDING GUARANTEE

Lindskov’s LT Ranch unconditionally guarantees our bulls to be sound, fertile, and reproductive through the first breeding season which will end as of September 15th in the year of purchase. In the event that the bull is injured or fails a semen evaluation by September 15th in the year of purchase, a replacement will be made available or credit in the forthcoming sale. Salvage value of the bull will be deducted from the credit. We strongly recommend obtaining insurance at the time of purchase. We will guarantee your satisfaction!

HEALTH

Health certificates will be provided with each sale lot. Dr. Bierman will be available on sale day to write any interstate health certificates.

All bulls have been given two rounds of Fusoguard Footrot vaccine along with being on a complete vaccination and mineral program since birth.

TERMS

The terms of the sale are cash or check payable to Lindskov’s LT Ranch unless satisfactory credit arrangements have been made prior to the sale. The right of the property shall not pass until after settlement is made. All settlements must be made with the clerks of the sale before any cattle will be released.

LIABILITY

All persons attending this sale do so at their own risk, legal or otherwise, for their safety or behavior of the animals. The owners, auctioneers, sale staff and hosts assume no liability for property loss or any accidents that may occur.

ANNOUNCEMENTS

Errors discovered in the catalog will be corrected by announcements from the auction block at sale time, and such corrections will take precedence over the printed materials.

We are excited to take over the lead roles of the legendary Lindskov-Thiel program!

Over the past 42 years our founding father, Les Lindskov and partner Brent Thiel, have built one of the most recognized Angus and Charolais herds in the nation that has helped change both breeds. We have spent the last two decades building our own Angus and Charolais registered herd along with running the commercial cow herd and heifer development program. We have learned a lot from both Brent and Les the past several years and enjoyed promoting and marketing both our cattle and the Lindskov-Thiel cattle in our joint bull sale that we host each April. Our goal is straight forward, we want to bring industry changing genetics and the quality of service that our customers expect and help promote our customers feeder cattle and replacement females through our well recognized feeder cattle buy back program. We look forward to bringing the next generation of the Lindskov’s into the operation and look forward to meeting each and everyone of you in the Charolais and Angus world. We are excited to continue working with so many great operations that have supported the Lindskov-Thiel program over the past 42 years. In memory

Danny Worth

Danny Worth grew up on the family farm near East Whitlock Bay where he resided until his death.

Danny loved the farm and continued farming and ranching with his family, Dale, Dolan, Bart, and Preston, until his death. Danny headed the cattle portion of the 4D Ranch operation, attended many cattle sales, mended fences and pretty much decided whatever needed to be done regarding the cattle. He helped with the hogs and the crops whenever and however needed. He loved a good Charolais bull and believed in the advantages of cross breeding Charolais with his Black and Red cows. He was very proud of the cattle heard that he and his family had built and enjoyed watching their calves top the sale every fall. Danny knew good cattle and enjoyed the ranching lifestyle.

Danny loved to hunt, fish and trap. Growing up on the Missouri River hills, he was only a short distance to some of the best hunting and fishing a man could ask for. Every time we delivered the bulls to him we would look out over the Missouri River and one couldn’t hold back not calling it “God’s Country”, Danny would always reference the beauty of the land this way! Danny was a hard worker and enjoyed visiting with people. Most late afternoons or evenings after a hard day’s work on the farm, you could find Danny and his brother Dale at Bob’s Resort visiting with his many friends, and you could hear his laughter from wherever you were sitting. He had a great sense of humor and anyone who knew him knows his laughter was contagious!

Danny will be greatly missed by the “LT” family, his friends and neighbors. We can say we were honored to call Danny a customer but most importantly a friend. It will never be the same when we stop by Bobs Resort for a drink or supper knowing that Danny is not sitting on the corner bar stool. Cheers to Danny, his love of the ranching business and his love of great Charolais-cross cattle!

Erv Reiser

Erv Reiser started his career in the cattle business while in his teens, cleaning pens at the Omaha Stockyards. When one of the commission men was absent one day, Erv got his chance to step into that role. He spent the rest of his career doing what he loved – buying and selling premium quality cattle. Thousands of those cattle were Charolais-cross calves.

Erv and the family he represented, A. Glen Kluck Feedlot at Richland, Neb., have a long history of buying the very best Charolais-cross weaned calves that South Dakota and Nebraska have to offer. Thousands of Lindskov-Thiel-sired calves have left your ranches and gone through their hands. When Erv set down at a sale barn, it was a safe bet that he would soon have the final bid on the front-end strings.

Erv was a perfectionist and taught us the importance of presentation and quality. He loved Charolais-cross calves and even after his retirement would often call to see how your calves had sold that year. We were fortunate to have Erv attend our bull sale and customer appreciate events and to give advice and encourage us.

There will never be another Erv, and we were fortunate to be able to call him a business associate, a mentor and more importantly, a friend.
