has been a stand out since we went to pasture. Out of a first calf heifer, this stud certainly exceeded our expectations. This bull is exactly what we had hoped for adding LD Capitalist 316 to our cows.

Let our error in record keeping be to your advantage. 2199 is a clean-up bred calf that we know. Narrowing down possibilities we have a strong bet that he is by Cole Creek 7 Black 369 (AAA: 19545301). This is a bull Kip’s dad bought a couple of years ago and has sired a top notch set of bulls for him to sell this year. While we typically wouldn’t have kept him, we couldn’t come up with a good reason he couldn’t stay in the bull pen. His growth and production made him a very competitve against the older AI sired bulls. A bull calf like that shouldn’t be dismissed in our opinion.

As you will see our Simmental bull offering is younger than our Angus bulls. Our Simmental herd is in sync with the Zoss’ registered Simmental herd that calves in April. Don’t discount these boys for being young, they will grow and mature with the best of them. If you’re looking for some flash on your Simmental bull, 2700 is your guy! This Cowboy Cut son is well balanced and brings a lot of great things to the table.

He is thick! No doubt this bull’s genetic merit will add production without sacrificing the maternal qualities his daughters can be expected to have.

While the pen may not be large in numbers, we hope you find the quality of stock to match that of the other breeders in our region. We are incredibly proud of the herd sire prospects we have for you to evaluate, and believe they are representative of the type and kind of cattle we strive to raise. Our goal is to offer honest, dependable, and functional cattle that will bring genetic merit in terms of production and longevity to your herd. Backed by over 50 years of breeding our herd takes its roots from Littau Angus Ranch, Winner, SD and continues to rest on a strong foundation of sound structure and excellent disposition. We welcome and encourage you to come see the bulls in Letcher at any time and hope you find these bulls to be as impressive in person as they are on paper!

This year we will be offering our pen of bulls via private treaty/ phone bid-off style. We are asking for initial bids to be placed by 12PM CST on March 18th. At that time, we will conduct bidding via phone until all lots are sold. Bulls have a floor price of $2,500. Each lot will be fertility tested prior to delivery and come with a first season breeding guarantee.
