Welcome to our thirteenth annual fall production sale!
We take great pride and careful consideration in selecting each lot for our fall production sale. Our goal is to make sure that we offer our best while retaining enough of our genetics that we can continue to make progress in our own herd. Year after year after year it just becomes more and more difficult to let go! However, we look at it as an opportunity to select an offering where each lot has the potential to benefit its new owners and make a contribution to their operation and with that attitude we find it humbling to see the success of our customers.
The genetic progress that we are making with this herd of cattle continues to exponentially increase. Maternal Power, Performance and Phenotype Matter Most to us and we emphasize the important traits of fertility, udder quality, disposition, skeletal soundness, body composition, foot and heel design, and respective breed character while using individual performance, DNA enhanced EPDs and ultrasound to breed the best beef cattle that we possibly can. We are excited to present cattle to you that allow us to showcase breeding emphasis on genetic integrity with excellent phenotype and real world performance. Every animal has been DNA tested to confirm parentage and more accurately determine EPDs. Our goal is to provide you with the type of cattle that will make an impact in your program. We have never been more positive about the beef cattle business and the future of our program! We are humbled by your interest in our cattle and we are pleased to present this offering!
This sale is loaded with excellent opportunities! If you are looking for an Angus donor, Lot 1 checks all the boxes. We are offering one half embryo interest in this tremendous female. Sired by Stunner, 1060 is a full sister to Musgrave Prim Lassie 329, the dam of Rob Roy. One half embryo interest in 329 sold in March of 2023 for $89,000. This female’s desirable type and kind as well as her excellent EPD profile make her so genetically unique! We look forward to working with a partner to unlock the incredible potential of 1060. Additionally, an excellent Angus donor opportunity, Lot 5 has been a very prolific donor for us. 8408 has so much left to offer her new owner. And what an excellent Angus female both type and kind. The Angus pairs are tremendous and have calves at side by Brookstone, Hi Range, No Limit, Ambition or Royalty. We are offering two Angus opens. Both are genetically unique in their our right. Lot 3 is a Chloe, sired by No Limit with excellent performance, phenotype and donor potential. Lot 4 could be the very best Angus open heifer that we have ever offered for both show and genetic contribution. She covers all the bases with her unique pedigree, phenomenal look and structural integrity.
Our Simmental program has taken a giant step forward with the addition of both Anthem and Patriot; as well as our ability to propagate those cows that really make a difference. We are offering two Simmental open heifers. Lot 30, 401M is a daughter of Patriot that has incredible genetic potential. Study her, her pedigree and her EPD profile. One to circle the wagons around. Lot 31, 499M, sired by Anthem and out of our Jewel 933E donor has the potential to make a statement as an open, as a bred and as a cow. Words like square, big bodied, flexible, power are used by folks that have seen her. The Simmental cows have calves by Anthem, Patriot, Bourbon Trail and Bet On Red. These pairs are just flat good and the calves are our freshest, very best genetics available to date. The selection pressure on fertility, udder quality, feet and legs, structure and fleshing ability that we continue to have the discipline to use is really making an impact throughout our program.

MUSGRAVE PRIM LASSIE 1060
LOT 1
For the Lot 1 designation, we could not think of a better way to initiate the sale offering than with the opportunity for partnership on Musgrave Prim Lassie 1060. If you have followed progressive Angus genetics over the last number of years, the Prim Lassie cow family has been a staple of the Musgrave Angus program. 1060 is a full sister to the $178,000-valued Musgrave Prim Lassie 329, also commonly known as the dam of Musgrave Rob Roy. Past the value the relatives have captured, study 1060 in person and you’ll come to appreciate the impressive rib shape, structural correctness, and overall maternal strength she exhibits. The potency of the cow family is supreme, the individual is impressive, and the generating potential is tremendous. Offering embryo one-half interest, no possession.
MUSGRAVE PRIM LASSIE 329 FULL SISTER TO LOT 1
MUSGRAVE ROB ROY SON OF 329
This Rain Gauge daughter out of the 2023 PHF fall sale high seller, McCurry Blackcapette 7184. Study the pedigree and she is rich in breed leaders throughout the generations, including Rainfall, Net Worth, Confidence Plus, and Net Worth. This four year old comes with a progressive genetic script that carries an impressive tally of 13 different EPD traits in the Top 25% or better of the breed. Top it off, she passes the eye test with her overwhelming rib shape, width of base, soundness of structure, and strong maternal look and design. The kind we all wish we had 50 more of roaming the pastures! Should calve before sale day to Musgrave Ambition (AAA# 20346607).

A blend of progressive genetics with phenotype any cattleman can appreciate. 4002 is the natural calf off the side of the $32,000-valued 2024 PHF Spring Production sale high selling female, PHF Lawsons Chloe H792. H792 is a full sister to the multi-million-dollar producer, Lawsons Chloe C815, made famous at the Coleman Angus operation in Montana. Combine the pedigree royalty of her maternal side with being sired by our senior herd sire, Musgrave No Limit, and her genomic script reads with a Top 10% or better ranking for HP, Claw, Angle, and $M. Blend all these positives with her overall performance, impressive rib shape, structural correctness, and strong feminine characteristics, and 4002 comes equipped to generate significant dollars of return to her new owner.
Simply put, we feel 4610 is a unique animal! The pedigree and story behind 4610 is one of a kind: her dam, PHF Georgina 2016, was campaigned successfully by Logan Davis of Ohio and was a result of the successful mating of PVF Inauguration and our potent 683 donor cow. She is sired by a Connealy Emerald son that was raised in the Maplecrest program that is working for the Call family in Ohio. Unfortunately, we lost the 2016 cow unexpectedly, but this heifer calf carries many of the same attributes her dam did. To blend the structure, rib shape, overall look and quality she does in the way she does is truly exceptional. She checks the boxes when she meets your eye, and she’s backed by the bulletproof Georgina cow family. Opportunity is knocking, be the last one to have a bid in when she sells on 10/12/24.

A perfect way to lead off the Simmental division of this year’s offering! Since February 1, 2023, the flush brothers Patriot and Anthem have taken our Simmental division to new heights. Their early popularity was like seldom seen before, and the initial reports of progeny all over the country have met or exceeded our expectations. In Rockfield, ones like 401M are the reasons we are so optimistic for the future of Patriot. This beautiful baldie faced January born is tremendous in her growth, power, structural correctness, and overall kind. The maternal influence of her pedigree is backed by an exciting two year old Love Boy sired dam that we are high on. Past her phenotype and pedigree value, 401M comes stamped with 10 EPD traits ranked in the Top 25% of the breed or better, including Top 15% Marbling, Top 15% TI, Top 10% API, and Top 2% REA. Simply, we think she represents the kind today’s industry is searching for!

One of the most anticipated matings of recent times here is what resulted in this Lot 31 female. Crossing LCDR Anthem on our cornerstone Jewel 933E donor resulted in this incredible looking, sound structured, stout featured solid black February born. What excites us as much as anything about the genetic combination here is past the phenotype, the anticipated EPD spread reads with seven different EPD traits in the Top 20% of the Simmental breed, pending genomic results. We are fired up for what this one represents, take your chance to acquire some of the best we can offer!
