WELCOME TO THE 2ND ANNUAL SHAGGY MEADOWS RED ANGUS BULL SALE 2018 was a little bit of a challenging year for all cattle producers, but from that challenge we were able to gain experience and also find what really works in our program. And on a positive note, it has been exciting to see our young daughter, Charli, taking interest in the cows. This year’s bulls had a little bit of a slow start but once summer hit they seemed to gain well. Every year we challenge the cow to raise a calf without the use of creep feed as we find that makes it easy to find the cows that are working. A lot of noise has recently been made about the Red Angus breed. Different EPDs, different value-added programs, etc. Regardless, we have always been attracted to the Red Angus cow and that is what we will remain focused on. We are all about improving certain traits as they are needed, but only if we can keep the material traits and structure at the top of the list. Again, this year we are offering our commercial heifers right from the heart of our herd. These heifers have been pregchecked and are ready to go to work for you. In closing, we would like to thank you for your interest in our program. While we may be a smaller operation, we value our customers at a very big level.
