FORMANCE & PERFORMANCE & POWER POWER

HONEYWELL LTS101-850B-2

Honeywell has delivered over 2,100 LTS101 engines which have accumulated over 10 million flight hours to date. In 2014 the unscheduled removal rate for the LTS101 series was 0.18 per 1000 flight hours. 850B-2 engine design improvements have transformed the LTS101 engine which has already proven to deliver world class reliability and performance. In 2014 the unscheduled removal rate for the LTS101-850B-2 was 0.066 per 1000 flight hours. Twin engine climb rate improved 40% to 10,000 feet. At typical operating weights, single engine ceiling increased from 1,500 to greater than 5,000 feet. Oneminute One Engine Inoperative (OEI) power increased 22%, providing greater operational safety. More power with little to no difference in Specific Fuel Consumption (SFC). The 850B-2 engine provides additional power in all flight regimes which increases helicopter capability, increases safety and complies with EASA regulations.

L3 Trilogy Standby Instrument

Our solution incorporates the highly reliable L3 Trilogy Standby Instrument. This unit combines attitude, altitude, airspeed, slip/skid and heading data into a single digital display.

Engine Display Instrumentation

Critical engine instruments have been replaced with new solid state form fit function units exclusively developed by Airwork in partnership with INSCO precision instruments. They are significantly more reliable than previous electromechanical versions. They include: • Dual Torque Indicator p/n 4355-3018 (140% torque). Meets TSO C47. • N1 Indicator p/n 6503A-3218 Meets TSO C49. • Turbine Outlet Temperature Indicator p/n 5032-3227 Meets TSO C43.

Flight Data Monitoring/Flight Data Recording (FDM/FDR) Our modular solution allows web based monitoring and recording of key flight parameters through use of some or all the following equipment: • Latitude Ionode (FDM) • AKV ETM 2000 (ETM) • Honeywell Digital Flight Data Recorder

Existing Navigation And Communication Radios We have options ranging from retaining legacy systems all the way through to a customised NAV/COMM re-fit. We have dealerships with a number of avionics OEMs and are happy to provide the solution tailored to your specific mission profile.

S IT’S ALL ABOUT ALL ABOUT SAFETY SAFETY

BK117-850D2 Certified by: FAA, EASA,TC and NZ CAA The Airwork BK117-850D2 dramatically increases the maximum OEI hover weight of the BK117-B2. The BK117-850D2 has been designed with the requirements of operational safety in mind. Whether flying over congested areas, landing at elevated heliports / hospitals, or just having the extra operational margin from a true Category A / Class 1 compliant machine, the BK117-850D2 delivers this with proven performance, reliability and efficiency. Under Cat A / Class 1 performance, at maximum all up weight should the aircraft lose power in one engine the pilot has the choice of landing, climbing or flying straight and level.

Y AND VALUE ECONOMY AND VALUE

With remarkable performance improvements in hot and high conditions the BK117-850D2 is flexible and powerful. The BK117-850D2 allows operators to carry more payload to more places. The innovative BK117-850D2 delivers superior safety and performance at a cost-effective price, adding up to an economic light twin engine helicopter ‘punching above its weight’. Don’t forget it is fast and will get the job done quickly. It has comparatively low direct operating costs, that will come down further thanks to the 850 engine that has longer component life as well as extended hot section inspections (1800 hours being extended to 2400 hour trial underway).
