College of business
The College of Business (COB) provides both undergraduate and graduate programs, from accounting to cybersecurity management. In accordance with increasing market demand, the College of Business has created a minor in Financial Services and developed three new academic programs across all levels of study, in the field of data analytics. The college features over $246,000 of up-to-date classroom equipment to match technology used in the modern workforce, providing future business leaders with the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in the global marketplace.
HIGHLIGHTS
◊ UCA’s MBA program was named to the
Princeton Review’s Best Business Schools List for On-Campus MBA.
◊ The COB had the second highest CPA exam pass rate in Arkansas for 2020.
◊ Beta Alpha Psi, an honor organization for financial information students, achieved superior status for the 13th year in a row.
◊ Student research was published in peerreviewed journals and presented at regional conferences including the International
Academy of Business Disciplines (IABD) and
Southwest Decision Sciences Institute. ◊ Student volunteers returned more than $300,000 of taxpayer money to the community through the preparation of over 300 tax returns as part of the IRS’s Volunteer Income
Tax Assistance (VITA) program.
◊ Students raised and donated more than $3,200 to local and national charities, including Dolly
Parton’s Imagination Library.
◊ Four teams representing UCA’s MBA program placed among the top 100 performers in a worldwide business simulation competition called GLO-BUS. More than 2,000 teams competed.
