4 p.m. Explore the Agricultural Cooperative Garden
Enjoy a true Maryland feast of local crabs, fried chicken, pit beef, fresh corn, and other traditional fare. Tickets must be purchased in advance at Family Weekend registration. Students are not covered under their meal plan. Fee: $38 per person.

Goucher’s garden provides students with the opportunity to grow and sell their own produce to Bon Appétit, Goucher’s food-service provider. The Agricultural Cooperative and the President’s Office will mark the official opening of the newly expanded garden with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.

Goucher Hillel invites you to a traditional, family-style Shabbat dinner. We will begin with a candle lighting and Shabbat traditions, followed by a few words from a special speaker. Tickets must be purchased in advance at Family Weekend registration. Students on the meal plan will not be charged. Fee: $30 per adult, $25 per child under 12.

Goucher’s chapter of Phi Beta Kappa, the nation’s oldest academic honor society, invites you to a reception celebrating the academic achievements of Goucher’s newly elected Phi Beta Kappa initiates and Dean’s List students. An information session outlining the Phi Beta Kappa selection process will follow the reception.

Join the campus community for the ribbon-cutting and official opening of the new Academic Center at Julia Rogers. You’ll have an opportunity to tour the building, meet faculty members, and experience the cutting-edge technology and innovative classrooms of this $25 million renovation. Goucher’s co-ed a cappella group, Red Hot Blue, will perform lively arrangements of contemporary favorites. There will be a complimentary luncheon. You must register in advance and bring your ticket to this event.
Stop by the Dorsey Center to visit staff from the Career Development Office, Office of International Studies, and the Office of Business and Auxiliary Services. Learn more about study abroad and career possibilities, as well as Goucher’s OneCard and meal plans. Library staff will also be available to speak with you in the Athenaeum.

Stop by the SRC to register for Sunday’s annual race, or register online at www.goucher.edu/family. Advance registration is $10 for students, $15 for the community. Race-day registration is $20.

Explore the contemporary history of the Supreme Court, its recent decisions and upcoming docket, and its coverage by the media. Led by President Sanford J. Ungar, the panel will include Jesse Holland M.F. A. ’12, who covers the court for the Associated Press; Nina Kasniunas, assistant professor of political science; and Steven Klepper ’97, attorney and lecturer on Supreme Court history.
3-4 p.m. Walk the Trails at Goucher Meet at Stimson Hall
Goucher’s 287-acre campus features multiple species of trees and lush foliage. Learn how to identify some of these trees as you explore the peaceful trails that wind through campus. Cynthia Kicklighter, associate professor of biology, and Tom Kelliher, associate professor of mathematics and computer science, will lead the walk. Consider wearing long pants and other appropriate clothes for a walk in the woods.
3-4 p.m. Quirky Tour of Goucher’s Campus Meet at Pearlstone Clock
4:30-8 p.m. Shuttles to Towson Restaurants Meet at Decker Sports & Recreation Center
Have dinner at one of the many restaurants in downtown Towson. No advance reservations will be accepted, and shuttle seats are available on a firstcome, first-served basis. The shuttle will leave from the front door of the SRC on a continuous basis, approximately every half-hour, and will make a stop on Allegheny Avenue just near the Towson Circle.
5-7 p.m. Dinner on Campus Stimson Dining Hall
Family members are welcome to join students for dinner. Kosher meals will be available in the Kosher Dining Hall across from the main dining room. Fee: $13.50 per person, payable in cash at the door.
7-8:30 p.m. Play Reading: 33 & ⅓ Cornelia Street Room 202, Meyerhoff Arts Center
Watch Goucher students and faculty perform Assistant Professor of Theatre Alvin Eng’s newest play. 33 & ⅓ Cornelia Street probes the lives and times of legendary Greenwich Village bohemians Alice Neel and Joe Gould. A discussion will follow, featuring professors from the Art and Theatre departments.

Meet President Sanford J. Ungar and Dr. Beth Ungar and have brunch while listening to live jazz performed by Goucher students. Tickets must be purchased in advance at Family Weekend registration. Students on the meal plan will not be charged, but they may not swipe guest meals for this event. Fee: $18.80 per person, payable in cash at the door. This annual run/walk is held in memory of Corene “Renie” Amoss ’93, who died shortly after graduating from Goucher. Proceeds from the memorial run go toward the Renie Amoss Fund, which grants annual monetary awards to Goucher students who have an outstanding academic record and engage in extracurricular activities. Registration starts at 7:30 a.m.; the run begins at 9 a.m.

For those seeking simpler fare, have a quick brunch in the Heubeck Dining Hall. Advance registration is not necessary. Students on the meal plan will not be charged, but they may not swipe guest meals for this event. Fee: $11.50 per person, payable in cash at the door.
