What will you discover? .... Raise a Glass with the Goulburn Valley Winemakers and taste some world-class local wines at 10 venues across the region, as part of Aussie Wine Month. The events are part of the month-long national Aussie Wine Month presented by Wine Australia and will showcase all that is unique about wines from our region at the ‘Goulburn Valley Winemakers’ Long Weekend’ to be held from April 25th- 28th. Each participating Goulburn Valley winery will have its own individual and unique drawcard over the ‘long’ weekend including cellar tours, barrel tastings, live music, winery/ heritage museum exhibitions, and themed lunches to entice visitors from far and wide. Meet the people behind the brands.. The events provide visitors with an opportunity to taste and learn about the quality and diversity of wines from the Goulburn Valley. Get to meet the characters behind the brands. Also it’s a great opportunity to discover the hidden gems that are our smaller boutique brands… all have a unique story to tell. Collectively, the Goulburn Valley Winemakers are looking to showcase the diversity of wines produced throughout our region. Experience the best food and wine pairings with locally grown GV regional produce. Passport Competition Here’s a chance to fill your cellar with a sensational selection of GV premium wines! Collect your passport from any participating winery or regional Visitor Information Centre and have it stamped at 5 of the listed wineries any time over the April Aussie Wine Month and you will go in the draw to win 6 dozen regional wines hand-selected by the GV Winemakers worth over $1,500. The winner will be drawn and notified on Friday May 3rd 2013.
