Welcoming the world to SA! Umdloti Resort is a coastal resort 15 minute’s drive from Durban. During the Soccer World Cup, we have a shuttle cab system available to guests to transport them to all games. Our 40 self-catering apartments are tastefully furnished and are all fully equipped. Each apartment has a double bed with either a double sleeper sofa or two single beds. Guests may enjoy meals at a variety of delightful local restaurants, coffee shops and pubs on site. Being a stone’s throw from the beach, we are also close to all amenities, including sporting facilities, the soccer stadium, Gateway shopping centre, Sibiya Casino, uShaka Marine World and some of the most spectacular scenery and hiking trails.
Activities There are numerous activities in and around Umdloti if you do not want to just relax on the beautiful beaches. Umhlanga Rocks, with its beautiful Gateway Shopping Centre is a busy coastal town just an 8 km drive away. Enjoy shopping to your hearts content, take in a movie or experience a live show at the popular Barnyard theatre in Durban. Visit the Natal Sharks Board just a few minutes drive away and see the live demonstration of a sharks dissection and learn some amazing facts about these little known creatures. Enjoy a game of golf, at either the beautiful Zimbali Golf Estate or Mt Edgecome country club – both within a short distance from Umdloti. If you would like to try lady luck visit the stunning Sibiya Casino – a mere 2km drive from the Resort. Other activities which are very popular in Umdloti are kitesurfing, fishing, horserides on the beach and hiking.
