About the Authors

My name is Asma. I am in grade 5. I live in Canada. Many languages and cultures are part of my life. I know 4 languages. In my portrait, I’ve shown the languages and cultures that make me who I am. At school, I speak English, Sign Language and French. At home, I speak Urdu and English. In this book, I used Swahili, English and Urdu. I think it is great to write in more than one language because some people can’t read English but can read other languages. I feel great about our book because it is a hit!
