2022 ANNUAL REPORT 04
Letter from Executive Director 2022 was a year for the books: on the field, Austin FC had a historic season, hosting the first playoff game in Club history in just our second year of play and advancing to the Western Conference Finals. And off the field, we were just as successful, laying the roots for a better Central Texas. Last year, 4ATX Foundation: Served nearly 320,000 Central Texans across 77 zip codes, delivering highquality programming that gets people playing and builds future leaders through the power of soccer. Installed three new state-of-the-art mini-pitches in underserved Central Texas neighborhoods alongside a coalition of community and corporate partners. Launched six new initiatives, including a new leadership program for soccerloving, low-income high school students called the Q2 Verde Youth Leadership Academy. Students in the Academy meet each week to learn leadership skills like professionalism and communication, access mentorship from Q2 employees, and receive a stipend to help coach younger students. Built a strong connection between the families we serve and Austin FC, bringing star players to visit our programs, hosting the first-ever Verde Leaders exhibition match at Q2 Stadium, and inviting hundreds of the people we serve to enjoy Austin FC matches at Q2 Stadium. Our 2022 Annual Report highlights our accomplishments over the last year and looks back on the collective impact we’ve had on the Central Texas community in the four years since our founding. I am proud of all we have been able to accomplish together in such a short time. As we look ahead to next year, I am confident in our ability to continue to enhance the quality of our programs while embarking on a strategic planning process to create a roadmap for our future. None of this would be possible without you — our generous community of support. Thank you for believing in the power of soccer to build community and change lives.

2022 ANNUAL REPORT 30
Four years ago, Austin FC’s nonprofit arm, 4ATX Foundation, was founded with the vision of becoming a force for good in the Central Texas community. In the four years since, 4ATX Foundation has grown rapidly, increasing our hours of programming by 160% and the number of people served by 441%. From 2019 to 2022, our programs and services have increased the number of Central Texans who have a safe place to play soccer by 258,326. Our significant growth has had an overwhelmingly positive impact on the Central Texas community, thanks in large part to our community of supporters. As we approach 2023, we are poised to focus on enhancing the quality of our programming and building a strategic roadmap for our future. More specifically, our objectives for 2023 are to:
Cultivate the roots of our brand – • internally and externally. Prioritize the quality of our programs • and create connections between them. Optimize collaboration, and human • and financial resource management. At its core, 4ATX Foundation is a foundation 4ATX, a foundation for the families of Austin. We believe in the power of soccer to bridge differences, connect people, and get them moving. Let’s continue to use that power, together.
