Kevin Lemons

One of the greatest choir masters of this time has gone on to be with the Lord, and so suddenly. Kevin Lemons transitioned on Jan 7, at the age of 44. This loss has definitely rocked the industry at large, so much so Gospel Music generals Kirk Franklin & Donald Lawrence have pledged to keep his legacy alive. Kevin Lemons was signed to Bishop Hezekiah Walkers record label Hez House Entertainment. “His love for God seasoned everything that he did, and his palpable love for people was an extension of that. Kevin Lemons was just a beautiful human being, and he will be sorely missed,” said Bishop Hezekiah Walker. He brought us jaw dropping vocals and choir dynamics, second to none. People are still talking about his performance last Easter at Choir Fest here in Baltimore. Whenever you got an opportunity to hear Kevin Lemons & Higher Calling minister you were blessed, he was absolutely a steeple in the industry keeping “choir music” alive. Being in this industry for over 2 decades he left us experiences we shall never forget. His wife, Tiunna Lemons, his impactful 100 voice choir, family and friends, let’s keep them in our prayers. He was always so kind and gave that brotherly love to all, always consistent. Salute to this Kingdom Giant!

Da Truth

Well we can say the artist formerly known as “Da Truth”, rebranded himself with his birth name “Emmanuel” and released some new music for us. I have watched his career since its beginning, and he is “the truth”. Christian Hip Hop Artistry at its best, this is definitely one I’ve been waiting on. This project takes us on a journey through his entire career. Not to mention he has some of the industry’s top artists featured- Tamela Mann, Fred Hammond, Yolanda Adams, PJ Morton, Todd Dulaney, Maranda Curtis, David Bowe, & Rich Tolbert to name a few, he wasn’t playing yall! Go get it! Congrats Bro!

It’s that time again! 24th Annual Super Bowl Gospel Celebration! This year will feature Patti LaBelle, Israel Houghton, and the NFL Players Choir. This year it will be held on February 8, in Meza, Arizona.

Yes, that’s her! One of the lead singers of the R& B Group XScape has signed a gospel/inspirational record deal with Motown Gospel/Universal. Scott says, “It has been a passion of mine to do inspirational music.

It has been my foundation and very evident, even when I sing R& B, I can’t escape that.” She will be releasing her first project this year.
