Savor the Seasonal Shift
Say “so long” to summer and get ready to savor the seasonal shift! The month of September is the time of year that marks a new order. Get ready to set up and soar in September. It is a time when fall is ushered in signaling a new season. This is the perfect time of year to prepare to finish the year out strong and set up for the upcoming year. Seek God for His will for your life. Sort and sear anything that seems to be hindering you and get ready to soar!
Savor the seasonal shift and seek God while He can still be found (Isaiah 55:6). God wants to hear from you. In Psalm 63:1 David said, “Early will I seek thee.” David was determined to seek the Lord early in the morning. He made his Master a priority and sought to spend time with Him early in the morning to set the tone for his day. Mirror his move and make it a point to mediate early each morning. During this time, remember and revisit your goals and God’s promises to you. Remind God of His Word and His promise to you. Revisit or read your vision, dreams, and desires that you wrote at the beginning of the year and check off all the answered prayers, goals, and achievements. During this time rev up, reset, regroup, and plan to go after any goal or promise of God not yet manifested. Seeking your Savior is indeed savoring the seasonal shift soon to come.
Savor the seasonal shift by sorting and sifting through all areas of your life that are no longer moving you towards the blessings God has for you. Lay aside every weight (Hebrews 12:1) and hinderance that is keeping you from going after your goals. Like David, encourage yourself in the Lord (1 Samuel 30:6). Say, “peace out” to procrastination and pump yourself up to prosper and live the abundant life God has for you. Ask God to bring to your attention anything that is or could affect the expected end (Jeremiah 29:11) He has for you.
Savor the seasonal shift and soar. Be ready to boldly go forth and reap the harvest God promised you. Get ready to use the gifts and talents He blessed you with by being a blessing to others and reap the fringe benefits of being a Kingdom citizen at the same time. Remember the joy of the Lord is your strength (Nehemiah 8:10).
Savor the seasonal shift and shine. “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.” (Matthew 5:14–16). In this new season, get ready to be a blessing by using the gifts that God has blessed you with. Let every good deed you do reflect the God that lives in you. Remember that you are the King’s kid and represent Him and the Kingdom in a way that people will want to know the secret to your success. Letting your light shine gives you the opportunity to give God all the glory when others inquire or ask for insight on the way you are thriving and how they, too, can live their best life.
Some seasonal shifts will be slow or swift. Savor the season and know that God is with you and all your best days are ahead. In the meantime, continue to stand on God’s Word and know that what He has in store for you will become tangible at the appointed time. Even if your vision coming to pass tarries, wait for it (Habakkuk 2:3). Shout hallelujah and savor the seasonal shift!
