They appeared in the first issue of ACNE PAPER.
The headquarters of the brand occupies a former bank in the center of the city.

COMPANY OVERVIEW Acne Studios is a multi-disciplinary luxury fashion brand based in Stockholm, Sweden. Founded by the former Creative Director Jonny Johansson in 1996. He started Acne by selling one hundred pair of raw denim jeans with red stitching and gave them to family and friends. The name ACNE stands for “ Ambition to Create Novel Expressions”. This brand has been a huge success due to the interest in art, architecture and street culture that former creative director. This interest has been translated into ready-to-wear for Men and Women. Demonstrating minimal and edgy vibes into their collections. The brand also offers Men’s and Women’s accessories, footwear, denim and features special collaborations. Acne Studios is all over the world offering more the 40 stores. Besides their Stockholm headquarters, Acne operates in Paris, New York, Oslo and in Copenhagen.

TARGET MARKET Acne’s target customers are high end shoppers, because of the exclusivity of the products. Acne customers love the idea of minimal and eclectic designs, and are interested in the artistic background of the brand. The main target market ranges goes from 20-50 years old. This Swedish brand has gain popularity due to their denim inventions and nowadays everyone wants to have a unique piece of this brand.

-Originally from Paris, France. Studied at the
University of Paris (La Sorbonne) and graduated with a degree in Art History, currently works in the contemporary museum of art (Musee du Pompidou) she generates an income of Eur 55,000/year but also likes to translate inspiration from modern art into her clothing. She is very adventurous and loves taking risks, on the weekends she likes to takes long walks next to the Seine river, staying active and relaxing with friends. Francoise is very confident and determined.
Alexis/ 27
-Originally from New york City, studied Interior Design in Pratt Institute, she does freelance and has an income of $70,000/year. On the weekends she loves visiting museums (MOMA, Whitney) and discovering new artists, loves contemporary art and her style is defined as minimal and edgy. She is very interested to move someday to Paris and obtain the ultimate European experience that will be later translated and affected into her interior design aesthetic. She believes that inspiration comes from everywhere and enjoys traveling and having unforgettable experiences.
Why Acne Studios x Active?
Acne Studios has gained alot of popularity over the years and has grown with the times. Acne Studios currently doesnt carry Activewear, and we see that as a missed opportunity. We want Acne Studios to be a brand that has the complete package, so we created a brand extension, Acne Studios x Active. To start out we will only offer a Womens Active line, review its success and move from there, to create a Mens Active line. By adding Activewear to Acne,we want our loyal customers to have the full experience.

What is Earthed?
We choose the concept of “EARTHED� because we were inspired in the movements and the colors of the beautiful canyons in Arizona. We loved the color contrast of the teal color river, and the sandy red cliffs, and we wanted to use NATURE as our main inspiration. Everything that has to do with nature, the colors, the texture, movement etc.

Everything that has to do with nature, the colors, the texture, movement etc. With this said we wanted to focus on the relationship Human vs. Nature, we wanted to emphasize in how nature is Constantly changing. We also wanted to remark the contrast of colors meaning that there is always a contrast in seasons.

Color Trends
According to WGSN’s Fall/Winter 18’ color trends ,the ‘EARTHED” tones were the ones offering a vivid palette such as tropical teal, rusty orange and red clay which are perfect colors for working out and being active. This colors also reperesent nature and its surface, they go great together due to the contrast they make and also matches perfectly with the edgy vibe that Acne studios give.
Colors such as creme, evergreen and dark berry give softer and more feminine, modern look, for this color palette those are the neutrals which one can mix and match with the other colors to make transitional outfits.

For fabrics, tech fabrics seemed the right choice to offer to our customers. Fabrics like dry-fit, nano tech and breathable fabrics is what our collection in mainly emphasized. The nonwoven nano tech material is a fabric that is wrapped in fibers and helps prevent stains and liquids. The dry-fit and breathable fabric helps you stay dry while being active and helps you improve your performance.
