Preparing for Sunday and Beyond Looking Ahead
Friday morning greetings, Grace-St. Luke’s! A reading from Daily Devotions in The Book of Common Prayer : O God, you will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are fixed on you; for in returning and rest we shall be saved; in quietness and trust shall be our strength. Isaiah 26:3; 30:15
On the Second Sunday after Pentecost and celebration of Youth Sunday, June 14, we will offer a 10:30 a.m. livestream and in-person (sign-up required) service of prayers, music, and a sermon by Anna Margaret Burnett. The clergy will offer a special message to our youth and children, and a new children’s worship activity sheet will be available online. For details about accessing the livestream via the GSL website and Facebook Live , the service leaflet, the children’s worship activity sheet, and more, click here . Limited space is available for in-person worship to maintain social distancing requirements. Our first offering on June 7 went smoothly and was appreciated by attendees. Sign-up is required by noon on Saturday, June 13, by following this link to Signup Genius . For key details about what to expect and how to prepare, click here . Our plan accords with the Diocese of West Tennessee “Faith Community Guidelines for Resumption of In-Person Worship”.
If you missed it, check out Wednesday's eNews and click here for upcoming weekday virtual offerings to be facilitated by clergy, staff and parishioners. Please note: our Midweek Christian Formation offering will resume on Wednesday, July 1. In this time of the coronavirus pandemic and significant social unrest, the clergy are available via phone (901-252-6320) or confidential email (pastoralcare@gracestlukes.org ). If you or another need anything or are wondering about the welfare of other parishioners, please reach out. The clergy-staff team continues to work remotely, making some visits to the parish house, and is available to you; visit gracestlukes.org/clergy-and-staff to contact a team member.
Continue to take good care and know that you are loved by God and us.
