Preparing for Sunday and Beyond Looking Ahead

Friday greetings, Grace-St. Luke’s! As this week comes to an end and we look ahead, follow this link for today's message for September from Senior Warden Simon Wadsworth on behalf of the Vestry. Sacred Stories Small Groups: Signup Today. The Congregational Development Committee presents an opportunity to share your spiritual journey and hold meaningful conversation in an intimate group setting. This will be a great way to be together in person following safe protocols for fellowship with other parishioners. Conversation prompts as well as social distancing kits will be provided to each group. The groups will meet once a week for five weeks starting the week of September 27; no more than 7 persons will be in a group. Deadline to register is TODAY, September 18. Questions? Sunday, September 20: Tune in at 9:15 a.m. for a 30-minute virtual formation offering followed by 10:30 a.m. worship and our new prerecorded contemplative service at 5:30 p.m. 9:15 Formation: Sacred Storytelling and Deeper Connections during COVID with The Rev. Laura F. Gettys, Associate Rector. Journey with Associate Rector Laura F. Gettys Sunday, September 20, from 9:15-9:45 on Facebook & YouTube Live, as she shares sacred stories of her own, poetry, and an invitation for us all to go deeper this fall with our own connections and relationships. 10:30 Worship, In Person or Livestream: Online reservations are required by noon on Saturday, September 19, by following this link , for limited-capacity seating. For Children: Our first Virtual Prayer Table is this Sunday following the 10:30 service. The Zoom link will be sent on Saturday, so parents, please watch for that email. All children are invited to take part, and if you’ve used your kit to set up a prayer table at home, we’d love for you to show us on Sunday! Contact Director of Children’s Formation Sharon Campbell with any questions.

For Youth:This Sunday meet outside the Red Door on Lemaster to pack and decorate non-perishable “Joy Bags” to share with our community, play a few games, and have compline. 6th-8th grade will gather from 4-5 p.m. and 9th-12th grace from 5-6. Contact GSL Director of Youth Formation Amzie Williams with any questions.
