Giving to Graded
GRADED is an American school that serves an international community of learners by inspiring individual excellence in a collaborative setting, fostering intercultural competence, and empowering students to become engaged, ethical citizens in a dynamic world.
Why Give?
THE GRADED EXPERIENCE Graded School is a very special place. When you walk around campus, you see engaged students who are excited to learn, and who have profound respect for themselves and the world around them. Our dedicated teachers share a similar passion for what they do and are open, collaborative, and innovative. Our parents are involved and supportive, providing their children with the tools they need to be well-balanced citizens. Alumni visit often, connect with each other, and participate in job shadowing, college visits, career day, and guest speaker programs. We all contribute to the Graded Experience that is embraced, treasured, and shared among those who are fortunate to be a part of this community.
WHY IS PARTICIPATION SO IMPORTANT? Every child benefits from gifts to the Graded Fund, and our hope is that all families will support it. Participation shows the greater community that parents are interested in their children’s future and support the school’s mission. It signals community confidence so that the Board can move forward with strategic plans. In fact, when the Lemann Foundation recently made a multi-million real gift to the Graded Scholar Program, they said that one of the reasons they gave was because of the incredible community support towards the Graded Fund.
LEADERSHIP GIVING Leadership Giving supports long-term strategic priority areas that include: Excellence in Teaching Initiative, Graded Scholar Program, and the Graded Campus Project. These gifts invest in the future of Graded School. Please contact Felicia Allard Smith, Chief Development Officer, for more information at felicia.smith@graded.br or 3747-4905. HOW MUCH SHOULD MY FAMILY CONTRIBUTE TO THE GRADED FUND? This is a personal decision. We encourage you to make a gift that is meaningful for you and commensurate with your family’s financial ability. Every gift, regardless of amount, is deeply valued and makes an impact on your child’s learning. WHAT IS THE GRADED FUND? The Graded Fund is our annual giving program that enhances learning and supports priority projects at Graded each year. Priority projects include academic programs, arts exhibits and performances, athletic equipment and uniforms, excellence in teaching support, scholarship student support, community service, and campus enhancements. The Board and Leadership Team pledge 100% participation each year. The Graded Fund kicks off in November and ends in June.
HOW CAN I MAKE MY GIFT? Enclosed is a pledge form that can be mailed or dropped off at the Development Office. Alternatively, you can access www. graded.br/giving and pledge online. You can make a pledge that can be paid in one contribution, or in multiple installments throughout the current school year (ends June 30th). We accept credit cards, checks, and bank transfers.
