events.programs.trips Basketball Officials Clinic
November 2-5, 6-9 p.m. We are currently looking for officials of all skill levels to officiate our upcoming Unit Level Basketball program. Along with many other aspects of becoming an official, you will learn about the rules and mechanics of officiating Basketball. The clinic is free for all participants.
Indoor Bouldering Nights in Nuremberg
November 3 Bouldering is rock climbing stripped down to its raw essentials. Leaving behind ropes and harnesses and just using climbing shoes and a bag of chalk over safety mats. Your challenge is to climb short but tricky bouldering “problems” (a route, or sequence of moves) using balance, technique, strength and your brain.
Read to a Dog program- Paws to Read
November 3-27, 3-5 p.m. Dogs don’t judge- they just listen and love. Sign up your Child, age 5-12, to improve their reading ability and read to a dog! Limited space is available, so sign up today at the Hohenfels Library. Programs offered every Tuesday and Thursday. Contact the Library for more information.
Pool Tournament
November 6, 7 p.m. Come out to the Zone and compete at a classic bar pastime with our free pool tables. Contact the Zone for more information. ID Card Holders 18 and over.
Bavarian Forest Hike
November 7 Follow the Golden “S” of the Goldsteig, and explore the cave Räuber Heigl Höhle to reach the ridge of Kaitersberg. We’ll visit the charming Kötztinger Hütte and gaze off the high cliff called Mittagsstein over a perfect view across the valley Zellertal with its clinging towers of rock. Onward to the impressive cliffs of Rauchröhren and more elevation gains for a grand view across the peaks of the Bavarian Forest from another mountain hut. Descend along forest roads, passing streams and ponds and ending at the Café Simmereinöd.
Texas Hold’Em Tournament
November 13, 6:45 p.m. Come out to the Zone and enjoy one of America’s favorite card games. Texas Hold’ Em is one of the most popular variants of poker and has fascinated players for many years. The widespread appeal of this game is owed in part to the simplicity and entertainment value inherent in it.
Painting with Friends
November 13, 6:45 p.m. Come out to the Zone and paint your heart away all while laughing and joking! Each class we paint a “special” surprise painting that gets unveiled the day of. Sign up early as our class fills up quickly.
Parents Night Out
November 13, 6:45 p.m. Sign up deadline November 11 Do you need an evening without the kids? Enjoy a nice, quiet evening or a romantic date with your spouse. Cost is $20 per child. Contact Parent Central Services today
Learn to Ski the Alps
November 14 For more information, hohenfels.armymwr.com We are taking you to beautiful Stubai, Austria in November and idealic Garmisch, Germany in December for your introduction to your life-long love affair with skiing. Let our time-tested instruction bring you from zero to hero in the space of one snowy day. Your ski lessons are provided by professionally certified PSIA and AASI instructors. Instruction, gear and transportation are all included. Lift passes are not included.
Indoor Rope Climbing Nights in Regensburg
November 17 Want to learn to climb or just staying strong for the real rock? The indoor climbing gym in Regensburg is a great place to harness-in, rope-up and get pumped. Come with ODR and receive a discount on entry and gear rental.
Thanksgiving Crafts

Regaeton, Hip-Hop, R&B Party
November 20, 8 p.m.-2 a.m. Get dressed up and get out to The Zone and PARTY! Jam to all your Regaeton, Hip-Hop, R&B favorites. Food and drinks will be available to purchase. See you there.
Vienna Christmas Market
November 21 Vienna has several Christmas Markets, all known to be among the best in all of Europe. Join us to browse the markets of Rathausplatz, Schรถnbrunn Palace, Karlskirche, Spittelberg and several others. Visitors can also watch the carvers, glass-blowers and bakers in action at the crafts markets.
Rainbow Loom Club
November 24, 3-4 p.m. Do you Loom? Do you want to learn? Come to our monthly Club and make some cool bracelets and more. Use our looms and supplies or bring your own. Lots of fun for ages 8 and up! Contact the Hohenfels Library for more.
Library Elf on the Shelf
November 24-December 18 Meet Libby, our Library Elf on the Shelf! She will be having lots of fun every day from Nov. 24-Dec. 18, so come in, pick up your BINGO board, and then when you find her each day, mark it on your board. When you have a BINGO, you can get a small prize! What will Libby be up to next?!? Just remember: No Touching the Elf! Ages 3-10

Thanksgiving Ski Weekend to Sรถlden, Austria
November 26-29 Experience Thanksgiving in the Austrian Alps! Join Hohenfels ODR for a family friendly ski/snowboard trip to the world-class location Sรถlden, Austria. Trip includes three overnights in a 3-star hotel with dinners and breakfast, transportation in a modern luxury coach, and a traditional Thanksgiving dinner on the day of arrival. Ski and snowboard lessons are available daily by professionally certified PSIA and AASI instructors.
