Tower Barracks Library, November 7, 5:30 p.m. Rose Barracks Library, November 10, 4 p.m. WWI Book Club: 2017 marks the centennial of the United States of America entering WWI. To commemorate this momentous occasion, the Army MWR Library has teamed up with partners to create the Remember WWI project. The project will run from March 2017 through Dec 2018. During that time, multiple topics will be explored both in person and online. Join us as we will discuss the book “All quiet on the Western Front.”

NOVEMBER 2-4 Come bring this all-too spooky story to life! In the kooky, upside-down world of the Addams Family, to be sad is to be happy, to feel pain is to feel joy, and death and suffering are the stuff of their dreams. Nonetheless, this quirky family still has to deal with many of the same challenges faced by any other family, and the spookiest nightmare faced by every family creates the focus Lippa, Brickman, and Elice’s musical: the Addams kids are growing up. In one fateful, hilarious night, secrets are disclosed, relationships are tested, and the Addams family must face up to the one horrible thing they’ve managed to avoid for generations: change. Show dates: February 2, 3, 9, 10, 16 and 17

DO-IT-YOURSELF FRAMING CLASSES August 12, 19 & 23, 9 a.m.-noon The walls barren and all photos stashed away? Want to hang all those family portraits and don’t know how? Learn how to build your own frames. After taking this class, you will be a certified ‘Do-It-Yourself’ framer and will have all the endless possibilities in framing. OIL PAINTING August 16. 2-5:30 p.m. Learn the basics of color theory, blending, brush strokes, water blending and perspective while painting with oils. Oil paints, canvases and brushes will be provided, but please feel free to bring your own materials as well. Cost: $30 (Supplies included)
