ÂŤ SWEET ART SHOW Âť It's nearly February, love is in the air and the Candy Man is coming to Town. The Zeus Sweet Art Show is taking over Graffik Gallery for 13 sweet nights of pure, unadulterated and indulgent fun and it's coming in the shape of the Zeus Candy Store. The shop installation will include customised slush puppy machines filled with Zeus juice, broken hearts with single letters etched in them so you can pick n mix to make up your own words and confectionery counters stacked with scrumptious jars of pink sticky stuff, gummy bears plus lots more art to whet your appetite. The Zeus shop is taking over Graffik for a limited time from the 7th February right through to the sweetest day of all which is Valentines Day where it will culminate in a charity gala. The perfect start to the year, a double dose of sugar and a huge dollop of art.
Zeus The Artist For the past 24 years, London artist Zeus has been drawing inspiration from urban culture to create dynamic, experimental compositions that have re-defined graffiti art. Captivated by the hip-hop scene of the 80s, he began expressing his creative talents on the street when he was just 14, using walls, trains and open spaces as his galleries. Since then Zeus has continually pushed the boundaries of graffiti artistry, taking the form out of its traditional setting and into new, exciting and more legitimate places. His latest works represents an innovative fusion of graffiti techniques and typography, fine art and sculpture and reflect both his background on the streets and his formal training at Chelsea College of Art.
