After graduating from the University of California at Berkeley, Karen moved to Rome, Italy. She opened an English language book shop in Piazza di Spagna which became the largest English language book shop on the Continent. After living in Europe for 20 years she moved to Jackson in 1983. She opened The Travel Consultants and managed the firm from its inception to the sale of the business in 1989. She served three terms as Chair of the Community Foundation Board and serves on their Investment and Executive Committees. Matt Faupel has an engineering degree from the University of Michigan. Prior to his success in real estate, Matt spent 6 years in corporate management in the engineering field. Matt’s commonsense approach to real estate and land planning provides clients with comprehensive, solution-driven insight throughout the transaction process. Matt is a member of the Urban Land Institute, a former Rotary President, the current Chairman of the START Board (Jackson Hole public transportation). Julie and her husband, Matt, relocated to Jackson from a suburb of Detroit, Michigan three months after they were married. Avid skiers and outdoors-people, Julie and Matt fell in loe with all that the Tetons have to offer and they soon learned that the lifestyle benefits of Jackson Hole are matched only by the incredible community. Julie has a business degree from Michigan State University and, prior to transitioning into real estate; she was the Chief Operating Officer for Wyoming’s exclusive Christie’s brokerage. Julie’s background includes 12 years in management and consulting for luxury hotels and small businesses. Julie serves on the Jackson Hole Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, she is a member of the Christie’s International Real Estate Advisory Board. Jenn brought nine years of marketing and communications experience to real estate in 2005, after graduating from St. Lawrence University and working in San Francisco and Boston.Fourteen years in the valley has offered her familiarity with and a love for the valley and its people. Invested in her client’s needs and striving to help them make smart real estate decisions, Jenn enjoys working with buyers and sellers in Idaho and Wyoming. Jenn authors the Teton Valley Report, a semi-annual publication summarizing the state of the Teton Valley, ID and Alta, WY markets and is a Community Foundation of Teton Valley Challenger.
Kathleen is originally from Franklin, Tennessee and after moving to Jackson, Wyoming she instantly fell in love with Jackson and all the activities it affords. She holds a Bachelors of Business Management Degree from Birmingham Southern College. Kathleen gained added experience in Hospitality Sales and Management at two luxury Jackson Hole properties. Service and meeting clients’ needs are her top priorities and her sense of urgency to exceed their expectations is ever present. Kathleen transitioned to real estate in 2007 and has applied her personal work ethic to every facet of the business. Kathleen’s extensive contract management experience and innate persistence drives her to help clients achieve their goal of owning a piece of the Jackson Hole dream.
Laura came to Jackson for a career in hospitality and the outdoor lifestyle the area offers. She grew up in Centralia, Illinois and is a graduate of Murray State University with a Bachelors in Public Relations and Marketing. High-end second-home markets—Wyoming’s mountain resort Jackson Hole saw increased interest from affluent domestic buyers whereas Spain’s beachfront paradise Valencia experienced strong growth from an uptick in tourism and “Golden Visa” overseas buyers. After several years of softening prices, Sardinia’s waterfront enclave Costa Smeralda, is beginning to witness a positive uptick, ranking seventh overall.
