Annual Fund Family of Funds in Action

Launched in Fall 2018, the Graland Annual Fund Family of Funds was created to give donors the opportunity to support yearly needs of the school while pursuing personal philanthropic passion. As you read throughout the coming pages, see some new and notable initiatives from the 2020-21 school year of how Graland Annual Fund dollars were put to work to improve the student experience and provide an exceptional environment for learning.

Financial Aid - Additional funds allocated for families in need of new or increased financial assistance as a result of COVID-19 pandemic hardship.

Faculty Professional Development - Year-long support from World Leadership School to continue summer training on project-based learning.

Facilities and Campus Safety - Invested in hiring a second full-time nurse, an air ionization system for classrooms and the gymnasium, plexiglass dividers, campus signage and sanitization supplies to keep students healthy and safe in their classrooms and across campus.

Technology & Innovation - Expanded Graland’s 1:1 program with third grade iPads; purchase of Swivl technology for school-wide remote student access and connections; significant investment in wireless infrastructure necessary for 2020-21 instructional needs.

Area of Greatest Need - Every day, annual fund dollars allow Graland to address the most critical needs for students and teachers, whatever they may be. This year, that included hiring flex teachers who stepped in to support teachers who were ill, on quarantine and/or wherever needed to allow the school to optimize on-campus learning for students.
