Football season is upon us, which means it’s a great time to whip up some half-time treats. No matter which team you’re rooting for, this dip will be a hit! It’s super easy and tastes so good that you’ll want to be sure to keep this recipe close at hand.
Ingredients: 8 oz cream cheese, softened 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded 1 cup mozzarella cheese ,shredded 1 tablespoon ranch seasoning mix 2-4 jalapeno peppers, diced(take the seeds out) 1/3 cup crispy cooked and crumbled bacon (reserve a few tablespoons to add as a garnish) 2 cups sour cream 2 tablespoon onion, chopped 1 tablespoon parsley If you like things very spicy use extra jalapenos. If you like things milder be sure to remove the seeds as that is where most of the heat is. Directions: 1. Stir all ingredients together until combined. 2. Evenly spread into a 9×9 baking dish. Top with remaining bacon. 3. Bake at 350 degrees for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown. 4. Serve this deliciousness with corn chips, veggies, or crackers.
Faith Landing’s September Newsletter Thank you to all our residents for taking the time to slow down and stop at the intersection of Abraham and Noah. We appreciate your taking those extra few seconds to make our community safe. Laundry Stain Removal Made Easy Laundry stain removers can be expensive and there are so many options. Which ones will really work? When store bought stain removers don’t work, try making your own from common household ingredients. These recipes are easy to make, inexpensive, and WORK! Whichever stain remover you chose, simply pour the ingredients into a new, clean spray bottle, secure the lid, and gently mix. ALL PURPOSE LAUNDRY STAIN REMOVER 1 part Rubbing Alcohol 2 parts Water WINE & GRASS STAIN REMOVER 1 part White Vinegar 1 part Liquid Dishwashing Soap 1 part Water PERSPIRATION AND BLOOD STAINS 1 part Ammonia 1 part Liquid Dishwashing Soap 1 part Water Spray a generous amount of the stain remover on the stain. Let the garment sit for about ½ hour and then place in the washing machine and run as you normally would. When wash and dry cycles are complete, your item should be stain free! Do not use these mixtures on silk, wool, spandex, or acrylic. These stain removers are specifically for fabrics that can go into the washing machine. If you are unsure about whether this will work for your fabric, do a spot test first to insure it won’t damage your garment. Manager’s Corner We have pride in our community here at Faith Landing, as we know you do. To keep our property looking its best, we are looking to you for help. We have been having an issue with trash overflowing from the dumpsters, or just not being placed inside the dumpster. This leads to a problem with pests, as well as just being unsightly. To relieve this situation, we are asking all residents to please keep in mind a few guidelines when taking items to the dumpsters for disposal: • Whenever possible trash should be bagged, tied off, and placed inside the dumpster. Please do not leave it on the ground beside the dumpster. • No furniture or large items are to be left in or near the dumpsters. You are responsible for disposing of these items. • Boxes must be broken down so they take up less space. It is especially helpful to even break down smaller boxes (like those cereal or pasta comes in) to help reserve space in your regular trash bag. • Recycle! We have a textile recycling dumpster available on the property and it would be greatly appreciated if that is used for recyclable household items including old clothing and shoes and small appliances. • Dumpster full? Check if perhaps the other dumpster isn’t and place your refuse there. Your cooperation is appreciated!
