NOISE REMINDER
USING THE PORTAL? We have a great tool available to our residents to make paying rent and communicating with our staff as easy as logging on to your computer. The RESIDENT PORTAL is available to all of our residents who have provided us with a valid email address. Once you are logged on, you can make a one-time payment, set up monthly autopayments for rent, submit a maintenance request, or email our leasing staff. If you aren’t active on the portal and would like to have this set up, please give the leasing office a call and we can get you set up to start using the portal today.
SLOW DRAINS One of the more frequent maintenance calls we receive is for a slow drain, either in a tub or in a bathroom sink. Most times, this is due to a build-up of hair and other items such as razor lids and hair ties going down the drains. This is an avoidable maintenance call, and therefore is a resident charge when maintenance is called to clear the drains. To avoid these calls, be sure to avoid having items like hair ties and clips go into the drains. Also, you can regularly clear any hair that does get into the drain with a “drain rooter”. They are sold at many places, including the dollar stores, and when used regularly, will keep drains from getting clogged with hair. If you aren’t sure what they look like, just come by the office and we can show you what to look for. We certainly don’t mind having maintenance clear the drains for you, but it is a resident charge that often times, can be avoided.
We have had several noise complaints from residents lately regarding noise coming from other apartments. We want to remind our residents that being part of an apartment community means being aware of the level of noise from the apartments and considering how that affects the neighbors. Living on a property the size of Faith Landing means that there are many people, with varying schedules, which may mean that the late night or early morning TV or stereo blaring, “rough-housing”, or heated discussions may be disrupting a neighboring apartment. Additionally, when residents are out on their patio or balcony talking on the phone or with friends, the conversations can be heard by neighboring apartments, sometimes even if the windows are closed (and these may be confidential conversations!). Please keep this in mind as you enjoy your home here at Faith Landing. We want our residents to love where they live!
