LIVING THE GRANDE DUNES LIFE

Who would have thought that in a few short months the world would change so much and that for a time we would change flip flops for face masks and suntan oil for hand sanitizer? I know everyone has been looking forward to the pool opening, enjoying beach chairs, umbrellas, live music, events and getting back to normal. So, we wanted to share some upcoming happenings that we can all look forward to.

Of course, all of these events are contingent upon current health guidelines, conditions and the phase of reopening we are currently in. So keep this in mind, as all dates are subject to change.

JUNE: Beach and pool chairs will be spaced apart to ensure a healthy distance. Our staff will be cleaning and disinfecting per CDC guidelines. We, as a team, will do everything we can to abide by federal and local guidelines.

The Gary Powers Event will be rescheduled. I will share our new date with you in my newsletter, on the member web calendar and on our closed private group Facebook page.

One way you can give back is by donating the gift of life. Our next Blood Drive will be at the Marina on Monday, June 15th from 8:00 am – 1:00 pm. Sign up at RedCross.org and use the sponsor code “GrandeDunes” (no space).

There will be no 3rd Friday Live Music Event on Friday, June 19th.

JULY: The month kicks off with our 2nd Annual Golf Cart Parade (pending) through Golf Village on July 4th with lineup starting at 9:00 am at the Members Club. We will ride through Golf Village, Cipriana Park, Portside and Living Dunes and end up at the Ocean Club where we will have a contest for the best decorated golf carts for prizes.

There’s a $15 registration fee that will go to Backpack Buddies/ Help4Kids. We hope that you will come out and enjoy watching all the patriotic golf carts go by while in your neighborhood! More details coming soon.

Our New Owner Orientation is tentatively scheduled for July 8th at 4:00 pm.

AUGUST: We are planning on having our 3rd Friday Live Music Event (pending) back by August 21st. We hope you can join us for a fun night of music and dancing. Also in August is an outdoor concert in Marina Park on August 25th!

Our new Wine Around Club is planning its first outing on August 6th under the direction of Ambassador Suzanne Lopeszia.

life here at Grande Dunes while meeting all kinds of great people.
