In 2008, our parent company, the Travel Corporation (TTC) asked a question: how do we make travel matter? In response, our TreadRight™ Foundation was formed to ensure our love of travel was protected for future generations. Our vision was simple, to ensure our impact on the planet we call home, the people we visit, and the rich wildlife we encounter is a positive one.
With more than 60 projects underway worldwide, 2020 saw the next evolution of our commitment, with the launch of our How We Tread Right 5-year sustainability strategy that focus on 11 goals tied to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. Our strategy is our commitment to address the issues that impact travel — and our planet — the most: climate, food, waste, travel experiences, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, and wildlife.
